2. Why football isn’t popular to rest of
the world
• There are many reasons that football isn’t
popular in America. The top reasons why are
that it isn’t a traditional sport to the rest of
the world and too many injuries happen.
3. MY Background Info
• I learned football is most popular sport in
america played outside the U.S. once every
year. Every games outside the U.S. has sold
out but don’t understand why football isn’t
popular in Europe or other countries. The big
reasons I learned are safety and has no
tradition in Europe.
4. History of football
• Football has been a sport
since 1869 where Rutgers
and Princetown college
first played. The NFL
would be created in 1920
by Jim Thorpe. It has been
an American sport ever
since then. A lot of
changes with uniforms
and rules have happened
during this span.

• Safety has been a big thing
in football since the
beginning. New rules in
football have been making
football a better sport for
people to play. Rules have
made so less people can get
concussions and broken
legs.

not hit helmet contact or

because to many players
have ended up with
concussions and leg injuries.

produce a another football
league in Europe or Asia but
has been a problem cause
of safety issue.

• In America sports like baseball, basketball and
football are traditional sports. In other
countries soccer and basketball have more
tradition than football. To show proof why
football isn’t traditional I will show you in

• First reason football isn’t
traditional in other
countries cause football
didn’t start there. It started
in America and grew into
the most popular sport in
America.

Final statements for why football isn't
popular in other countries is that football
soccer, and rugby are more traditional and
are more fun to watch for other countries.

• All in all football is one America’s favorite
sport but in every else in the world football
looks barbaric and has no tradition
14. My final statement
• I hope my PowerPoint showed why sports like
baseball or soccer are much more popular in
countries like Europe. I think there are many
other reasons football isn’t popular in America
but those are the main reasons I could find.
