5. Canada Occupation List
Education- maximum 25 points can be earned by applicant who has Ph.D. or a Master’s
Degree and at least 17 years of fulltime or equivalent study. The lowest points available
in this section are 5 points which is for completion of high school.
Experience- maximum of 21 points can be awarded in an approved occupation. 21
points can be earned with relevant 4 or more years of experience. For each year less
than 4 years 2 points are deducted. Minimum of 15 points can be gained in this section
through 1 year of qualifying experience.

6. Canada Point System
Arranges Employment- an applicant can gain maximum 10 points for permanent job
offer which has been confirmed by Human Resource ad Skills Development Canada.
Age- maximum 10 points can be gained in this section of point system. 10 points are
awarded to person who is between 21 years- 49 years of age. Applicant outside this
range will lose 2 points on every year that they are over 49 or below 21.

7. Immigration to Canada
Adaptability- 10 points can be awarded for previous family relation in Canada, work in
Canada, and spouse’s education.
This point system is basically designed to attract young immigrants who promise to
contribute and join to the new communities. Point system is largely transparent.
