1. Where we live-Kastoria
Kastoria is surrounded by
an impeccable lake and
the scenery is really
breathtaking!
Kastoria is at North
Greece. In the map it
is colored blue.
2. •In addition Kastoria is well known of the Byzantine
Churches and the manors.
Kastoria originally
had 72 churches but
the 54 had survived
in time. Some of
these have been
restored.
Furthermore,
Kastoria has plenty
of manors.
3. • Kastoria is an international centre of fur
trade which dominates the local economy.
4. Mesopotamia is our
village! Here we go to
school and do a lot of
activities.
The population of Mesopotamia is
4.100. In addition there is a river
,Aliakmonas which crosses the
village.
5. The population of Kastoria
is around 22.000. This
population consists of
people, who came from
Euxeinos
Pontos(pontiac music)
and Epirus (vlaxiki
music). These people
have their own traditions
and they conserve them
in their villages.
