Saint Martin De Porres Parish Church • It was established by the Diocese of Imus and was constructed beginning in the early 60s and grown its affiliates Located in Andrea Village I Bacoor, Cavite and its near to SM Bacoor and Meadowood in the 70s came up • to this right now. The past parish priests here are Rev. Fr. Jaime Catipay, Rev. Fr. Bagos, Rev. Fr. David, Rev. Fr. Ignacio, Rev. Fr. Ricardo J. Salazar, Rev. Fr. Orlando "Orly" Santos, Rev. Fr. Nasario, Rev. Fr. Dennis and at this moment, the Rev. Fr. Joey Demoy and Rev. Fr.

Saint Martin De Porres ○ He is known to be the Saint of Broom. ○ He is the patron saint of mixed-race people and all those seeking interracial harmony. ○ He was noted for work on behalf of the poor, establishing an orphanage and a childrens hospital. ○ He maintained an austere lifestyle, which included fasting and abstaining from meat. ○ Among the many miracles attributed to him were those of levitation, bilocation, miraculous knowledge, instantaneous cures, and an ability to communicate with animals.
  4. 4. Various Church Organizationsa) Knights of the Altar The Knights of the Altar is the name of a number of national organizations of serving and former altar boys in the Roman Catholic church. It traces itself back to an organization founded by Saint John Bosco.b) Youth Choir A choir, chorale, or chorus is a musical ensemble of singers. Choral music, in turn, is the music written specifically for such an ensemble to perform. A body of singers who perform together as a group is called a choir or chorus. This youth choir is composed of different groups belonging in the community of Bacoor .

Various Church Organizationsc) Teatro San Martin Teatro San Martin is a church-based theater group which renders service to God and to the people through performing arts like drama, singing and dance. Teatro San Marrtin stages plays and other performances on Simbang Gabi, Holy Week (Cenakulo), and other religious feasts and celebrations, with the aim to reflect the life of the parishioners and bring the Words of God closer to them. Teatro San Martins members are youths coming from different localities which are under St. Martin de Porres Parish.
  6. 6. Various Church Organizationsd) SMDP Youth Collectors and Ushers Church usher is the first official representative seen when entering the church. The role of the usher in church is a volunteer position, and is often considered one of honor, particularly if the church or a church committee member selects an usher by nomination. e) Legion of Mary The Legion of Mary is an association of Catholic laity who serve the Church on a voluntary basis. Today between active and auxiliary (praying) members there are in excess of 10 million members worldwide making it the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church.

Various Church Organizationsf) Couples For Christ Couples for Christ (CFC), formally the Couples for Christ Global Mission Foundation Inc., is an international Catholic lay ecclesial movement, "intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life." It is one of 122 International Associations of the Faithful with official Vatican recognition from the Pontifical Council for the Laity. It is led by an International Council, which operates in the Philippines under the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines and can report directly to the Vatican. The community is made up of family ministries, social arms, and a pro-life ministry.
