MOIST HEAT METHODS
Boiling is a method of cooking foods by

And maintaining the water at that
Temperature till the food is tender. Rice,

Cooked by boiling
MERITS
Simple method -It does
Not require special skill
And equipment.
Uniform cooking can be
Achieved.
DEMERITS
Continuous excessive boiling
Leads to damage in the structure
And texture of food.
Loss of heat labile nutrients such
As Vitamins B and C if the water
is discarded.
Time consuming – Boiling takes
More time to cook food and fuel
May be wasted.
Loss of color – water soluble
Pigments may be lost.

The President for Worldchefs
At the Worldchefs 2016 conference in Thessaloniki, Greece, Thomas A.
Gugler, was elected President of Worldchefs for the next four years.
Gogler, who was previously the Continental Director for Africa and the
Middle East), defeated two other candidates for the presidency.
The dynamic German citizen played an integral role at Worldchefs.
During his three years as Continental Manager (Africa and Middle
East), he directed and increased membership by 300% and established
several chef societies. He also has decades of judging experience in
Worldchefs competitions globally, is a Class A judge and is known for
his great love for the hospitality industry.
Thomas is also a Certified Executive Chef who has won hundreds of
medals and awards as well as tokens of appreciation from around the
world. Works as Manager of Naghi Group Kitchens (AFS)
