Chameleons are carnivorous reptiles that eat mostly insects like flies and mosquitoes. They have specialized body parts like long, fast tongues to catch prey and prehensile feet and tails that allow them to climb trees and hang upside down. Chameleons are able to change their skin color, not to blend in with surroundings but rather as an indicator of their mood or body temperature - becoming darker with red and yellow spots when angry, afraid or excited.
