Stability Analysis of Multi-Phase Flash and Azeotropic Distillation Systems (Master Research Project) Jan 2015 - Dec 2015

• Built a ternary mixture (water-methanol-isopropanol) flash system in Aspen Plus and generated input multiplicity under different
operation conditions.
• Built another model of ternary homogeneous separation system (methanol-methyl butyrate-toluene) in Aspen Plus.
• Generated output multi-steady states by analyzing the process model in Aspen Plus and Matlab simulation, finished deeper
analysis to get sustained oscillation of the system.
Design and Optimization of Propylene Manufacture by Propane Dehydrogenation Jan 2015 - Apr 2015

• Redesigned and Optimized a poorly optimized propylene production flowsheet with GAMS and Aspen Plus.
• Optimized the tray numbers of the distillation columns and heat exchange network.
