YRC Worldwide Inc. reported segment statistics for its less-than-truckload (LTL) operations for the first quarter of 2006 compared to 2005. Yellow Transportation saw increases in LTL revenue of 5.9% and tonnage of 2.8% with minor increases in shipments. Roadway Express reported increases in LTL revenue of 3.9% with a slight decrease in tonnage. YRC Regional Transportation experienced the largest increases with LTL revenue up 11.6% and tonnage and shipments both increasing over 4%.
