Maidan Summit 2011 - Mona Shipley, British CouncilMaidan.in
In her discourse at Maidan Summit 2011, Ms Mona Shipley presented her experience with developing the Physical Education Cards (PEC). She held that one should harness engagement, effectiveness and simplicity of sport-based programmes and use them at the grassroots level to begin transformation.
She said that sport is an integral part of culture in almost every country, and pointed at how women get segregated because it is traditionally associated with masculinity. Ms Shipley felt the need to challenge the discrimination based on gender in sports. She highlighted the need to have an advocacy platform, where people come to become aware of their rights and eventually drive change from within.
Girls Without Barriers Final Report 2015 eXprojects
The Girls Without Barriers Project targets introducing young girls of 12-18 years with / without disabilities, who were subject to social exclusion, to society as self-confident, courageous and entreprising young girls of high motivation in their postpubescent lives by increasing their mental and physical capacities through training in sports, nature and team work .
The objective of the project is to help young girls in realising, fostering and expressing their strong aspects, developing themselves as individuals, expressing themselves in society and building a relationship with culture and the environment through sports activities, creative art and group experiences in nature, during their adolescence, the period during which they are under the greatest risk of losing their self-confidence.
The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) presents its new-look Annual Report for the year 2019. The original idea of ISCA's founders was to unite the voices and organisations who believe in the power of recreational sport and physical activity. We still believe in this ‘power of the people’, and enabling the human right to access sport and physical activity is still our mission. For 25 years we have delivered solutions to our members and the sport sector. These solutions help civil society organisations to develop as organisations and continue to be able to deliver attractive and motivating programmes to individuals and communities. Read more in the 2019 edition of ISCA's Annual Report.

6. GENC GIRISIM EGITIM GENCLIK VE SPOR KLUBU DERNEGI was registered in March 2015. The
activity of the organization is focused around 3 aspects importnat in the development of the
youth:
* sport
* education
* intercultural integration.
As a part of apost activity the club has sections of athletics, martial arts, gimnastics,
basketball, triathlon, and swimming. The club has sections where all the interested in various
disciplines young people are. The activities of the organization are aimed to increasing the
chances of young people by developing in them the essential volitional traits, and making it
possible for them to gain the soft skills on the high level, which are now crucial in both the
work and social life. Moreover, by sport classes, the physical activity is promoted amongst the
youth, and essential habits to having a healthy lifestyle are taught and implemented.
In the framework of the activities connected with the informal education of the youth, the
tasks of the organization are to: support the youth in the development of the crucial skills for
the future work life, and also to support them in creating their professional path of

Ukraine. The subject of organized exchanges is oriented aroung learning about other cultures
and religions, promoting respect and tolerance, supporitng the youth from the society margins
immigrants and refugees.
7. PROGRAMME OF SPORT - RECREATIONAL CLASSES WITH ELEMENTS OF JUDO
Amateur judo classes from the scope of judo, as a pedagogical form should be seen as
a behavioral-educational system and a system of improvinf the physical abilities of the
youth. Regarding the current trends of "sitting lifestyle" and development of so called
civilizational diseases, such as: diabetes, spine curvature, acquired posture defects,
defects of sight and hearing, it especially important to build proper prohealthy and
proactive habits amongst the youth. This function, in our opinion will be fulfilled by
judo classes. People who train this sport dyscipline, are characterized by very good
physical abilities, knowledge of their own body and their abilities. The youth, which
take part in judo classes gradually start to think of it and treat it as a way of life. Judo
imposes the philosophy of thinking based on using balanced, stimulants free diet,
regular physical activity and regular improvement of one's body. This sport also teaches
self-dyscypline and persistance in endavouring a goal.
The innovation in the programme is adjuting it to the needs of people who have never
before trained any sport dyscipline, who have been living a sitting and little active
lifestyle. Thanks to implementing the supprting coaches into the classes,
individualization of the classes is made possible. Moreover, the difficulty can be
adjusted to possibilities of each participant, making them able to develop regurarly,
and visibly, which on the other hand increases motivation to having a healthy, active
lifestyle.
The main goals of the created programme are:
- supporting harmonious psycho-physical development of the youth by sport -
recreational classes with elements of judo.
- getting the youth interested in the impsed by judo philosphy of life, based on having
a balanced, stimulants free diet, regular physical activity and regular improvement of
one's body.
- completing and consolidating the knowlegde of the youth, essential to having aware
systemitic physical activity as a condition for having a healthy style of life and rational
care about vital readiness of organism to oppose the negative results of the civilization.
- implementing the youth into independent work to develop physically and care abot
proper physical agility.
- creating the need among the participants of permanent, independent work on their
health, physical agility, and, in the future, family
- achieving suitable (as for particular abilities of the members of the group) level of
motor agility, and gaining the skills to maintain it
- acheving the basic knowledge and abilities in the scope of judo techniques and tactics
- preventing the creation of posture defects amongst the youth, and correcting them
with a special look at individual needs
- gaining the ability to cope with stress and decreasing the vulnarability to depression
and agression
- developing the social skills
- strenghtening the belief in self - abilities, and creating the positive self - assesment
- creating healthy and addiction free personality, and developing its traits, such as:
strong will power, patience, thoroughness, regularity, endurance, and increasing the
ability to making brave decisions.
