• Discussion: Let’s discuss your educational philosophy – What it is?
What is it based on? How would you institute it in schools? What are
some major flaws in our education system? How can they be dealt
with?
NEXT WEEK: In class essay (FINAL EXAM) - The question you will
address is how your view of what makes a good education has been
changed or influenced by the various philosophies we have discussed in
class. Compare and contrast philosophers and their philosophies. This
will be an open book exam. Bring notes and your book to class.
• Before you leave: Turn in your finished Philosophy of Education
paper and Final Exam Essay.
• Late work: All late work must be turned TONIGHT or you will receive
a zero for the assignments. See me after class if you have questions
or concerns.

  • 1. YOUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY What do you believe education should be?
  • 2. Agenda • Tonight – • Discussion: Let’s discuss your educational philosophy – What it is? What is it based on? How would you institute it in schools? What are some major flaws in our education system? How can they be dealt with? NEXT WEEK: In class essay (FINAL EXAM) - The question you will address is how your view of what makes a good education has been changed or influenced by the various philosophies we have discussed in class. Compare and contrast philosophers and their philosophies. This will be an open book exam. Bring notes and your book to class. • Before you leave: Turn in your finished Philosophy of Education paper and Final Exam Essay. • Late work: All late work must be turned TONIGHT or you will receive a zero for the assignments. See me after class if you have questions or concerns.
