1. Yesterday I woke up with a slight headache. I ate some muffins from the refrigerator, drank a
glass of nice refreshing milk, after which a lit a cigarette. Today I had to go to work, god how
I hate my job! But thank god I am smart, so I called in sick. What are they going to do about
it, they were a bunch of idiot anyway. Besides I had to clean my house, and I am not wasting
my weekend doing menial labor. My free time is way too precious to me.
Cleaning is not as easy as it sounds. You have to take into account all variables and
conditions, in order to build a strong foundation for your cleaning procedures. That is why I
found out that I had run out of cleaning detergents and solvents. I had to run to the store
ASAP! Thank god I checked the fridge before I left. I needed to buy eggs and cheese, and
maybe some sort of meat product. I ran as fast as possible, making sure none of my co-
workers saw me running around town. I took care of everything in a jiffy.
Now I was ready to clean, but not quite. There was still the matter of what to eat for lunch.
Usually when I am at work I go out to eat, so I wasn’t very accustomed to make lunch for
myself. Thank god I bought some thing from the store. I had enough ingredients to make an
omelet. I whisked the eggs until they became as smooth as granny’s vanilla pudding. I put in
little pepper, little cheese, a whole bunch of cold cuts (mostly chicken meat) and some
tomatoes.
After lunch I decided to start cleaning for real. I swept the floors quite thoroughly, leaving
nothing behind. After sweeping came the time for a good, old-fashioned mopping. Hot water
and little bit of bleach is all I need to make my parquet sparkle. The kitchen and the bathroom
were the last thing on my list. The bathroom was easy, I make sure to always clean it,
irrelevant of my schedule. A clean bathroom is the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle.
The kitchen proved quite an opponent. I started by going over the cooker with a wet rag. Most
of the dirt came right off, but there were parts that were not so easy to do! I had to use
stronger detergents. But after a while, even the toughest of filth caved in under the pressure of
my vigorous attempts to make my kitchen sparkle.
