2. Closets for Kids Project
Realizing there is a need for clean
kids clothing to be available at
Brevard Public Schools elementary
schools, club members filled that
need by providing stand-alone
closets that they stock twice a year
with clothing, including new
underwear, socks, shorts, and T-
shirts for kids in kindergarten
through sixth grade.
The program they named
“Closets for Kids from
Kiwanis” enables school staff at
Title 1 schools in low-income
neighborhoods to have
immediate access to children’s
clothing as needed.
K-Kids Caroling
At Christmastime, the Croton K-Kids,
parents and advisors meet at the
Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center in
the Suntree/Viera area and do some
Caroling for the residents.
Cub Scout Pack 318
Eau Gallie-Suntree Kiwanis Club is the
Charter Organization (Sponsor) for Cub
Scout Pack 318.
Pack 318 participates in Scouting for
Food which collects bags full of non-
perishable food donations from their
area. The donated food helps feed
hungry families in Brevard, Flagler,
Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and
Volusia Counties.
The Pack also has fun activities such as
camping, hiking, Blue & Gold and
Pinewood Derby.
3rd Grade Dictionaries
100 dictionaries were delivered to Seapark
Elementary. They loved them. The
quality dictionaries that the club provides to
3rd graders is greatly appreciated by
students and teachers as well. The students
are each given their own book with a
Kiwanis nameplate on the inside. They are
able to use it in the classroom and carry it
forward with them into the next grades. It is
packed with extra information on science,
history, the presidents and more. What a
great project!!
