• To provide training and support to licensed foster parents of Fresno

• To assist foster parents with the myriad of issues and the
complexities presented when it is necessary to place children in out
of home care.
• The focus of the training is to combine a theoretical foundation for
the various dynamics relevant to out of home placement with the
practical applicant of how to assist children through this difficult
time.

• Social Work values: The trainings are given in equal treatment, at the same time
offer more training date and place if the foster parent can’t assist to one and the
trainings are offered in English and Spanish. Equal treatment and not
discrimination regardless their sexual orientation, sex, gender, age, nationality,
ethnicity, religion, etc…

ask question in trainings and interact with other Foster Parents
Cultural Competence
1. Spanish Trainings: The agency is aware that they have Spanish speaking foster
parents, so they offer Spanish training to make them more comfortable and have
a better understanding of the program and gain knowledge.
• Human Rights: By offering Foster Parents information and trainings in their own
language come with the conclusion that the agency promotes everyone’s
entitlement to all human rights without discrimination because of race, color, sex,
language etc.

SOS Children’s Village require mother to be part of this foundation
SOS mother need to complete some requirements in order to be part of this foundation such as classes and trainings, this
process take approximately 2 years. SOS mother need to be live in the village with the children and 24/7 care. The mother
need to be from the age of 25-45 years old. Be single, divorced, and independable. SOS mother need to take care of 8-10
children.
No SOS father
Some of the services are therapies, food, shelter, clothing education, etc.
