Jython is an implementation of the Python programming language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). It allows Python scripts to be exposed as web services through the Python Deployer. The Python Deployer maps Python data types to XML schema data types during the binding process. Annotations are used to mark Python methods for exposure as web services. The annotated Python script is then deployed by generating an AxisService and AxisOperations to create a WSDL. The Jython Client API provides a wrapper for the Axis2 Service Client API, allowing Python scripts to call web services.
