私たちたちは保育・教育実習を行った際に壊れて仕掛けが動かなくなってしまったり、ページが抜け、物語が止まってしまったりしている仕掛け絵本を読んでいる子どもたちを見て、幼少期の学びに役立つ絵本を壊れにくく、温かみのあるものとしたいと考えたことがきっかけでこの研究をはじめました。制作した仕掛け絵本は全て手作りで制作しており、それぞれのページに多くの工夫や想いが詰まった2冊に出来たように感じています。

The presentation 'Show and Tell: Folk Art and the Art of the Picture Book' was part of a talk Radhika Menon, Tulika Publishers, was invited to give at the Devi Arts Foundation in New Delhi on 29 January, 2011. Vernacular in the Contemporary is the first part of an exhibition at the gallery of art by folk, tribal and traditional artists. The show foregrounds the diversity and contemporary relevance of their art, ideas and concerns.

インスティテューショナル・リサーチ（以下、IR）には、高等教育に関連する広範なデータが必要である。それらを操作するためのデータベース（以下、DB）およびデータウェアハウスは、様々な部署から集められた多様なデータで構成されている。高等教育の現場では、日々の教務に柔軟に対応するべく、データベースの拡張・改変が繰り返されている。その結果、データベースが肥大化や、データの整合性を保証できなくなる問題が生じてしまうなどの困難が生じている。データ整合性を保証・保持することが肝要であり、そのようなデータベースを作る簡便な方法が求められている。 数学の一分野である圏論をDBに適用した圏論的DB理論[1,2]が、仕様との整合性を保証したDB構築に良い見通しを与えている。本稿では、圏論を簡単に解説し、圏論的DB理論に則ったDBの仕様記述法（オントロジーログ）を紹介する。
