The music video for Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" consists of three scenes that were filmed using different camera shots and takes to provide coverage for the editor. Scene 1 shows close-up and mid shots of Miley singing directly to the camera while appearing sad. Scene 2 features long and mid shots of Miley pacing with a sledgehammer. Scene 3 includes close-ups, long shots, and mid shots of Miley riding a wrecking ball. Multiple takes were recorded for each shot to allow the editor flexibility in crafting the final cut.

Others are cutaways (walls being smashed).
There is no obvious storyline to the video, the video is basically
the literal metaphor for the lyrics.
