This led to larger opportunities like creating art for Oprah Winfrey and Nike campaigns. Bmike has become very successful through his art studio StudioBe and continues working on large murals and projects around the world.

- 1. Chelsea Mather “We think and feel constantly. There is no off button, and we can only filter out so much of how the world outside our heads affects us… For this project, I wanted to look at these temporary effects and how they stick by taking this concept out into the city. By writing questions on sticky notes and leaving them around Chicago as my own form of public marginalia, I created texts with the potential to interact with passerby and affect their thoughts in some way.”
- 2. Zoe Knight “Snippets is a zine that consists solely of repurposed text and images… Snippets functions as a theme in two ways; one, the content is literally snipped out texts gathered from the Chicago public. Two, the content mirrors the snips of conversation that traverse the public on a daily basis. In order to understand a space, it is important to understand what is being said, what is being printed, and what is being remembered.”

Thomas Almores The overall idea of this sculpture was to depict the ways brands, and their advertising, compete with one another in order to be in the spotlight of our attention… Advertisements with greater controversy sit more prominently in our minds. In this sculpture, I’ve depicted the Sears Tower being climbed by many people carrying advertisements as banners on their backs.”

Andrew Zion “My project aims to draw the viewer into an ongoing narrative in the city… With an ongoing problem of mural erasure, local and often disenfranchised artists are exposed to the violence of silence, the discrimination of having their values and controversial opinions censored through the washing of their public works. I intend to show the viewer examples of what is lost when people decide to remove or detest that which they may not understand..”
- 5. Delaney Morrison “This is a collection of various Vincentian elements that can be found on and around DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus. The University has a very rich connection to its Vincentian heritage but it often goes unknown by most of the university community. This project hopes to illuminate those connections and bring the Vincentian mission into the lives of the DePaul community in 2019 Chicago.”
- 6. Joe Weiss “This exhibit is meant to make you think about your experiences on the El. Not just think about them, but consider them and think about how they have shaped your views on Chicago. We often think about the El as just transportation, but it is much more than that. It is the connecting infrastructure of the entire city.”
- 7. James Langford “This collection of images is a snapshot of the conversation surrounding the upcoming retail/residential mega developments that will likely break ground in the city this year. It can sometimes be difficult to hear one’s own voice amidst all of the noise on Twitter and in the news. Our own thoughts and opinion are diluted by the propagandized media that we are constantly spoonfed. Some voices are artificially amplified and others are deliberately silenced.”
