Teaching undergraduate and graduate students methods for bringing arts to the classroom to inspire creative expression in students K-12. Lesson plans and studio explorations are organized with an emphasis on understanding children's experiences with artistic materials. Topics include interdisciplinary planning, working in diverse communities, cultural contexts, and access to museums. Working with Lincoln Center Education teaching artists in dance, music and storytelling, students encounter the arts through deep noticing, and careful observation.
