Avia is a small town near Berga in Catalonia. The main industries used to be farming and agriculture, though there are fewer farms now. Some of the most notable landmarks include the Romanesque church of Santa Maria d'Avia, which houses an important altarpiece, and festivals like Festa del segar i el batre in July and Caramelles at Easter celebrate traditional culture. The town is also known as the home of motorcycle racer Marc Coma, a multiple Dakar Rally winner. Nearby Grauges lake offers fishing and dining at the Cal Garretà restaurant.
