1) Jesus, who is fully God, created all things but made himself poor by becoming human to save mankind from sin.
2) He existed in heaven as God but humbled himself by living on earth as a man and dying on the cross for our sins.
3) He has now returned to heaven and will one day return as king to judge the living and the dead.
The document describes the birth of Jesus Christ as told in the Gospel of Luke. It details the annunciations to Zechariah and Mary by the angel Gabriel that they would have children, the visits between Mary and Elizabeth, the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, his presentation at the temple, and the flight into Egypt to escape King Herod.
The document discusses Jesus Christ's journey of love for humanity by becoming human and sacrificing himself on the cross to save people from sin. It describes how Jesus, though divine, humbled himself by taking human form and obediently dying for people out of love for them. It encourages the reader to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and follow his example of selflessly loving others.
This document provides an overview and analysis of Revelation chapters 10 and 11. It summarizes that these chapters present two events between the sixth and seventh trumpets: 1) an unusual angel appears with a scroll and swears an oath, and 2) two temples are measured with one on Earth housing two witnesses who prophesy for 3.5 years until defeated, after which the seventh trumpet signals the end of time.
This document discusses three questions to ask when studying each chapter of the Bible: 1) What does the chapter say? 2) What does it mean for me? 3) What am I going to do about it? It then summarizes several passages from Revelation chapters 8-10, focusing on symbols like angels, scrolls, and thunders. The key point is that believers should read and digest God's word in their lives through daily Bible study, fellowship, worship, and prayer.
Paul continues his journey to Jerusalem, stopping in several cities along the way. In Tyre, disciples warn Paul not to continue to Jerusalem, telling him through the Spirit that he will be imprisoned. In Caesarea, a prophet named Agabus binds Paul and predicts that he will be handed over to the Gentiles in Jerusalem. Though urged not to go, Paul insists that he is willing to die for Jesus in Jerusalem. They continue on with some disciples from Caesarea.
This document provides a summary of the biblical book of Numbers. It discusses how after escaping Egypt, the Israelites traveled through the wilderness toward the Promised Land. They camped at Mount Sinai and Kadesh. When 12 spies were sent to scout the land, 10 of them doubted they could take the land despite God's help. The Israelites complained and were punished multiple times during their journey. Miriam was also punished for speaking against Moses. The document analyzes themes and events throughout Numbers to help understand the journey of the Israelites.
In this thought-provoking and stimulating message we consider why God had to become a man and other related questions: Why did infinte God have to come as a feeble human being? Why a gruesome Cross? What about before and after? What about other groups of people? Would God need to Incarnate multiple times?

JUNE , 2015- Sunday Message-STRONG FAITH IN GODCatherine Lirio
The document discusses faith from several biblical passages. It describes faith as being sure of what is hoped for and certain of what is not seen. It provides examples of people in the Bible who demonstrated faith, including Noah building the ark, Abraham obeying God's call to leave his home, Abel offering an acceptable sacrifice to God, Moses leaving Egypt without fear of the king, and the walls of Jericho falling after being marched around. These people were all commended for their faith, yet did not receive what was promised in their lifetimes, as God had planned for faith to be made perfect together with believers.
1) The passage describes the birth of Jesus Christ as told in the Gospel of Luke. It details Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem for the census and Jesus being born in a manger.
2) Angels appear to shepherds in the fields and proclaim the birth of the savior. The shepherds then go see the baby Jesus.
3) The shepherds spread the word about what they saw and heard from the angels to all who would listen.
Jacob made a vow that if God protected him on his journey, he would make God his God. (Genesis 28:20-21)
Paul held daily discussions for two years in Ephesus, teaching about the word of Lord. Many Jews and Greeks heard and believed, and God did extraordinary miracles through Paul. (Acts 19:9-10)
Paul decided to visit Jerusalem, Macedonia, Achaia, and Rome to continue spreading the word of God. (Acts 19:21)
The document compares the view of God under the Old Covenant to the view under the New Covenant established by Jesus' resurrection. It describes how people saw God under the Old Covenant as frightening and punishing, revealed through a volcano, darkness and trumpet blasts. However, it says believers now come to Mount Zion and have access to God through Jesus as the mediator, and to heaven, angels and other Christians rather than fear and judgment. The resurrection opened heaven and established a new relationship with God.

We sometimes see a bright jewel which has many
smooth polished sides or surfaces. It is pleasant to
take up such a jewel ; turn it carefully over ; look at
its many surfaces, one after another, and notice the
different views they present of the beauty shining
out from that precious stone.
Now, the character and work of the Lord Jesus
Christ, our blessed Saviour, may well be compared
to such a jewel. There are very many sides to this
jewel. And there is a wonderful variety in the rays
of light and loveliness, that shine out from these
different sides. No two of them are exactly alike.
It is an interesting and profitable study to examine
this jewel carefully, and see the amazing brightness
and beauty that are hid in it, and are all the time
shining out from it.
The document summarizes the biblical parable of the prodigal son from Luke 15:11-32. It describes how the younger son asks his father for his inheritance and squanders it. Impoverished, he returns home hoping to be a servant. However, his father celebrates his return with a feast. Meanwhile, the older son is angry about the celebration, feeling that his faithful service was not similarly rewarded. The parable challenges Christians to respond to those who have strayed with grace, rather than judgment, and to focus on their relationship with God rather than works.

This document discusses Jesus Christ based on Philippians 2:5-11. It makes 4 main points:
1. Jesus Christ is God who took on human form and humbled himself by dying on the cross. He is worthy of worship.
2. Jesus is Lord and master, and every knee will bow to him.
3. God exalted Jesus and gave him a name above all other names, so that at his name every enemy is subject.
4. Jesus is the model for believers to imitate through obedience, even unto death, as God wants us to be conformed to his image.
Sermon Slide Deck: "The Mission of Jesus" (Luke 19:1-10)New City Church
The mission of Jesus is to seek and to save the lost.
This message was given on January 8, 2017 at New City Church in Calgary by Pastor John Ferguson. For more info, please visit: www.newcitychurch.ca.
This document contains prayers for new beginnings, including newborn babies, those new to Christianity, and the deceased entering heaven. It also includes two Bible passages about being made new through Christ and Jesus as the light and Word of God. The response prays for blessings on new beginnings for babies, sinners receiving forgiveness, and people entering heaven with Jesus.
This document discusses two Babylons - the ancient city of Babylon and a symbolic Babylon mentioned in Revelation. It argues that Babylon represents reliance on human works and traditions rather than God. The ancient Babylon worshipped idols and the sun rather than God. Similarly, the symbolic Babylon promotes false teachings like worship on Sunday and salvation through works. It represents any church that embraces some or all of Babylon's false doctrines. True believers must come out of Babylon and rely only on God and His word as revealed in the everlasting gospel.
Luke 2:14: A pseudo song service examining the joyous message of the angels to the shepherds. This passage reminds us of the good news of Jesus for our salvation.
The document summarizes the biblical story of Babel in Genesis 11, where all humanity spoke one language but decided to build a tower to make themselves famous. God responded by confusing their languages, scattering them across the earth and enforcing his command to spread out. It also discusses the origins of different ethnicities and races. The next section introduces Abraham, called at age 75 to leave Haran and given promises by God of land, descendants and blessing through his offspring. The covenant with Abraham sets the agenda for the rest of the Bible by being fulfilled through Christ.
The document discusses the importance of kneeling before God and Jesus Christ. It provides several biblical examples of figures like the Wise Men, David, Peter, and Jesus himself kneeling in worship, repentance, submission, and prayer. The overarching message is that people can choose to kneel before God now through acts like worship and prayer, or they will have to kneel before Him in judgment later, as the Bible says every knee will bow to Jesus. The presentation encourages readers to kneel before the Lord today.
Cornelius was a Roman centurion who feared God and prayed regularly. He had a vision where an angel told him to send for Simon Peter. Peter came and shared the gospel, telling Cornelius that anyone who seeks God will find him, including those from other religions or backgrounds. God made sure Cornelius found the truth of Christianity, demonstrating that whoever is willing can be saved.
Jesus transfigured! mk 9-1-13 - sept 8, 2013John Smith
1. The document discusses Jesus' transfiguration as described in the Gospel of Mark. It describes how Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a mountain where he was transfigured before them, appearing with Moses and Elijah.
2. God's voice spoke from a cloud, saying "This is my beloved Son; listen to him", instructing the disciples to heed Jesus' words.
3. The disciples were confused about the meaning of Jesus "rising from the dead", and Jesus explained that John the Baptist fulfilled the prophecy of Elijah coming first. The key message is to listen to Jesus above all others.
The document discusses Jesus as the Word of God based on biblical passages. It makes three key points:
1) In the beginning, the Word was with God and was God, indicating Jesus' deity as the creator of all things.
2) The Word became flesh in Jesus Christ and dwelt among humanity to reveal God, though he was rejected by the world he created.
3) However, all who receive Jesus by believing in him are given the right to become children of God, born not of human will but of God, showing Jesus offers salvation and new spiritual life to believers.
Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth and teaches at the local synagogue on the Sabbath. He reads from the prophet Isaiah and declares that the scripture is fulfilled in him. The people are amazed but question if he is truly the Messiah since he is just the son of Joseph. Jesus tells stories from Elijah and Elisha's time that show prophets are often rejected in their hometown. The people become furious with Jesus and try to throw him off a cliff, but he escapes.

- The Maya calendar predicted the end of the world in 2012. The Aztec calendar and prophecies of Merlin also predicted 2012.
- The Bible speaks of signs of the end times but does not give a specific date. It says no one knows the day or hour except God.
- There will be wars, famines, earthquakes and other signs as described in the Bible. False prophets will appear and lead many astray. The gospel will be preached around the world.
- The reliability of the Bible is discussed, noting it is one of the oldest books and has been proven accurate through arche
- The document discusses how Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was rejected by the world despite being the stone the builders rejected and the king of kings.
- It describes how previous prophets like Moses, Elijah, and John the Baptist were also rejected, with John the Baptist being killed by Herod.
- The key point is that the world has continually rejected God and his messengers, with Jesus Christ being the ultimate example as the rejected Messiah despite his miracles and message of salvation.
The document discusses the author's beliefs about eschatological issues like the rapture and end times. The author does not believe in a literal rapture or 1,000 year reign of Jesus described by premillennialism. Instead, the author argues that biblical texts about the end times refer to God's judgment on Israel by Rome in 70 AD, not a future tribulation. The author believes Jesus will return to live with humanity on the new earth, not remove believers from earth. The end involves God restoring creation and humanity living eternally in peace with God on earth.

All things came to be when "In the beginning, God created" everything in six days, with man and woman as the crown of His creation. God constantly watches over you and sends his angels to protect you. God causes all plants to grow and provides food for every living creature, demonstrating his ongoing care for his creation.
This document discusses biblical numbers and events from 2014-2018 related to the end times. It aims to confront whether calculating dates of end time events is biblical and determine if evidence shows the imminent coming of the Tribulation period. The document outlines what will happen during the Tribulation based on descriptions in Revelation, including the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls. It also summarizes Jesus' description of the Tribulation in Matthew 24 and references Daniel 9 for clues about its timing.

This document provides an overview and analysis of key aspects of understanding the Book of Revelation. It discusses:
- The book's intended meaning and time frame, noting it was meant to be understood by early Christians facing persecution.
- Two common approaches to interpreting Revelation (historicist and futurist) and arguments for understanding it in its original context.
- Important symbols and their meanings, either explained directly in the text or through comparisons to other Bible passages.
- Features like repeated themes of judgment, paired opposites representing good and evil, and the need to solve Revelation like a puzzle rather than view it as a mystery.

Acts Chapter 2, One time miracles, non blessing miracles, similes, filled with the Spirit, glossa, dialektos, God opened the spigot, predetermined, foreknowledge, signs wonders and miracles mark an Apostle, who raised Jesus
The document discusses what the book of Revelation reveals about Jesus Christ. It summarizes that Revelation depicts Jesus by over 37 names and titles, describes his appearance, and reveals that he was slain as the Lamb to redeem humanity and wash them of their sins. It also discusses prophecies that foretold Jesus would appear after 483 years to preach and be crucified as the Messiah.
This document provides an overview of the basic contents and origins of the Bible. It discusses that the Bible is a collection of 66 books accepted as divinely inspired. It was written over 1500 years by around 40 authors from various backgrounds. The events primarily took place in the Middle East. Prophecies, historical accuracy, and scientific statements within the Bible provide evidence of its supernatural origin. The document outlines many of the human authors and approximate dates they wrote different books. It also summarizes some of the fulfilled prophecies as further proof of the Bible's divine authorship.
This document discusses biblical time prophecies found in Daniel chapters 8 and 9 regarding the coming Messiah. It explains that Daniel was shown a vision of 2300 days/years which was later interpreted by the angel Gabriel. Gabriel revealed that within this period there was a timeframe of 70 weeks/490 years that referred to Jesus as the Messiah who would be "cut off" at the cross. The document analyzes how these prophecies accurately foretold the timing of Jesus' baptism and crucifixion according to historical records. It asserts that the remaining unfulfilled years point to the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary in 1844.
1) Elijah had just succeeded in an amazing victory but found himself afraid and hiding in a cave. There, God revealed Himself to Elijah through a still small voice rather than the wind, earthquake, and fire.
2) Like Elijah, believers have endured earthquakes, hurricanes, fires and other storms but God is revealing Himself and calling His people to stand firm.
3) Through enduring trials, believers have been prepared and strengthened to stand undisturbed as God works through challenges to empower His people for greater works.
This document provides an outline and commentary for a sermon on 2 Peter 3:1-18. It discusses the key points that Peter makes about the return of Jesus, including that scoffers will deny it but God has intervened in history through events like the Flood. The sermon notes that Peter's letter serves as his "swan song" warning of coming apostasy. It outlines the chapter and explains that the day of the Lord will come suddenly for unbelievers but believers should not be surprised as they watch and wait in light of Christ's promise to return.

This document provides the outline and summary of a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on November 27, 2016. The sermon discusses 2 Peter 3:1-18 and focuses on the return of Jesus, scoffers who deny his return, and how believers should live in anticipation of it. Key points include that scoffers will come who doubt Jesus' promised return, God's timing is different than humans', and believers should strive to be found holy and blameless when Jesus returns. The sermon encourages spiritual growth through Bible reading, prayer, witnessing and more. It concludes by looking ahead to the next sermon series in Joshua, Judges and Ruth.

The document discusses principles of biblical interpretation, including the analogy of Scripture principle. This principle states that scripture should interpret itself by comparing different passages on the same topic. Obscure passages can be understood by clearer texts, and comparing scripture with scripture allows us to find the deeper meaning. The principle also helps solve controversies and disagreements. A second major application is the typological principle, where the analogy of Scripture is applied to the relationship between types and anti-types in the Bible. Context is also important to understand what the text meant to the original audience.

-God keep His promises.
-God’s general providence is toward all creation
- All things were made through Him
God’s special providence is toward His children.
We may suffer now, but joy can and will come
God can see what we cannot see

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

the bible
The word of God has proven
to be dependable
When God says something

6. When a man says he will do
something . It is not his word that
has power to accomplish what the
man has said. Iit is altogether
dependent upon the man himself to
accomplish it apart from his word.
It is not his word that does it
It is he himself that must do it
Such is the word of men.
7. It is not so with the word of God.
When the word is spoken by the
Lord,
there is at that moment in that word
the living power to accomplish what
the word expresses.
It is not needed that the Lord employ
any shadow of any other means than
that word itself to accomplish what
the word says.
Psalm 33:6,9

born in Bethlehem-
Ephratah
14. The word of God had gone out
Not just Bethlehem , but
Bethlehem – Ephratah. It’s like
mentioning the City and the
street where the event will take
place
15. The distance between Nazareth and
Bethlehem is 158km
And then God choses a virgin from
Nazareth
Mary gets pregnant , she is in
Nazareth
The 1st month , she is still in
Nazareth
The 2nd month, the 3rd , 4th , 5th , 6th ,

left it not fit to live in
Totally ruined it, that the people
who remained moved away
And the left the city
But it wasn’t is the sea as the bible

For 200 years , it wasn’t in the sea
But for 250 years after
Nebuchadnezzar came Alexander
the great
And he went conquering and to
conquer
25. And when he came to Tyrus , which was
in ruins
He looked out and saw an island
Where those who escaped from Tyrus
lived there
And they had built a wall and built a city
and that’s where thy lived
And Alexander commanded his soldiers
to build him a road to that Island
26. And to build that road they went
back to the city which was in ruin
