This document outlines the learning objectives and content for a course on world religions and belief systems. The course aims to help students understand the historical contexts of nine major faiths - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shintoism - as well as appreciate their similarities and differences to promote mutual understanding. Students are expected to demonstrate comprehension of their own faith as well as others.
