Many forms of performance began in religious rites and ceremonies. The tragedies and
comedies that are the roots of many modern plays originated in festivals for the god
Dionysus in ancient Greece. Terms such as chorus and scene were first used in Greek
theatre.

Punk rock is a style of music. Punk rock developed in the
mid-1970’s in New York City. Bands like The Ramones,
Television, Blondie, and Patti Smith played loud, angry
songs. Many bands played at a club called CBGB's. In

lungs. Punk rock musicians didn’t have a clue about the rules
of music and that’s why they broke them. Punk rock
musicians got their rebellious reputation also because of the
way they dressed.
