The students at Escola Charlie Rivel in Catalunya, Spain worked on an art project focused on the works of Pablo Picasso. Their project involved creating doves in Picasso's style, making their own versions of his famous painting "Las Meninas" in different settings, drawing portraits inspired by Picasso's Cubist period, recreating works from his Pink and Blue periods using those colors, and collaborating to build a giant 3D fruit bowl still life as their final project by making paper mache fruits.

with the help of our scrap box!

16. So… we worked on portraits inspired
in the very beginning of Picasso´s
Cubism. (1st - 2nd grade)

A giant fruitbowl!!!

32. The starting point for our GIANT FRUIT BOWL
was assigning a fruit to each class.
Kindergarten: Tangerine and Orange
1st grade: Apple
2nd grade: Banana and Cherries
3rd grade: Pear
4th grade: Strawberry
5th grade: Watermelon
6th grade: Melon

33. Then, each class filled a rubbish
bag with old newspapers.

34. Second, in a bucket we mixed
a lot of liquid glue with water.

35. Third, we put the “cardboard stone”
paper into the bucket.

36. Forth, we left the paper in the bucket for 10
minutes (until it got soft) and then peeled it.

37. Later on, we glued the paper on the
fruit and gently smoothed it down!

tissue paper
