Kenia Gonzalez enjoyed her art final projects and felt she showed her skills and creativity. She discusses three projects: making a piñata, comparing two countries, and monochromatic and mosaic art. While the projects required different skills, they all relied on coming up with ideas and using hands to design them. The piñata was her favorite because it showed how an idea can become a creative art piece through paper and glue. She hopes to continue improving her art skills next year.

ART FINAL ESSAY
Wow! Can you believe that this school year is almost over only 2 more days left
I’m so excited. Just wanted to tell all of you that I really tried my very best on this
final and I loved doing it because it showed me that we do have different ideas and
skills of our own and sometimes we just don’t know it but when the teachers give us
different types of projects like this that’s the time that we should show it and make
the teachers say “Unbelievable!! That was a GREAT Project”, and make them happy of
us. But never forget that you should always do good and everything that your
learning and doing right now is the stuff that you might be using in the future and
all this will get you somewhere and make you somebody.
Well let me start by saying that this was one of the finals that I enjoyed
doing why because I looked at my passed and present projects and thought to myself
what I could have done better or added more stuff on them, but im satisfied and next
time I will do even better because now I know that I can do way better and what my
teachers expect from me. First I did the piñata project because I enjoyed doing it and
we where trying to create a piñata by starting from a balloon and putting strips of
paper over it with glue, I did an octopus from finding nemo called Pearl because I
found her easy to do but it wasn’t that easy for me but I tried and she came out good
even thou I forgot to put her the eight fin, I bet no one noticed but anyways in the
movie it said that she has one shorter fin than the rest, but I still liked my octopus
piñata and I liked my classmates piñatas too they came out really good even thou it
was our first try. The second project was about choosing two countries and finding
what do they both have the same and what are their differences, and my countries
where El Salvador and Venezuela and they had only one thing in common they both
eat a dessert called flan and their differences where that they had a different
national bird and different type of plants but from both they where really popular
in their countries. The third project was about the monochromatic and mosaic that

2. we did I found that so interesting to me because it was the first time doing that and
its amazing how with only one color and then the tint(white) and shade(black) you
can do an amazing art piece and then from that we had to cut little pieces of
construction paper and in another cardboard try to make the same design but with
different colors and make it look realistic it was so cool how some people made it look
so alike. My last pictures where about my sketchbook because I really worked hard on
it when I didn’t have anything to do or just wanted to draw I went to my sketchbook
and drew what ever came to my mind.
What I found similar from all three projects is that in all of them I had to use
my head for ideas then when I had it I had to use my hands to draw and design it the
way I wanted and all three of them also where interesting to do because of the
different skills that you have to use to make it look like you want it.
The differences about these three projects were that they all have their
unique ways and that every person will not make the same image as the other person
and they were different in levels of creativity like the piñata you needed to think
about what you wanted to make but in the other one of the two countries you had to
search both and understand the differences and similarities then design them and
put them in a way that will be creative and then in the monochromatic and the
mosaic you had to use more creativity than on the 1st and 2nd projects because you
have to paint it in one cardboard and in the other design it as alike as you can but
with little pieces of construction paper.
All three projects where interesting to do and needed a lot of creativity but
the one that I really enjoyed doing was the piñata because of how you can start only
from a balloon, strips of paper, and glue and then paint to design it as you want.
Now I know how to make a piñata and I will show children so they will start using
their creativity. This year in art was a great experience for me and I even improving
my skills of art and hope to still be in art next year to learn more and improve more.
Well im going to finish this final by saying have a great summer be careful
and hope to see all you next year im going to miss all of you take care a lot of love
