4. Categories and Tags
Categories collect together sub-themes of the
main topic.
- make the subject more manageable
- make it easier to find similar content
Posts > Categories otherwise Uncategorized
Don’t forget about parent category
5. Tags
Tags are like terms in a book index – they help
to find precise information that might be in
different posts.
Cooking Example
Spaghetti Bolognese- in the Italian Food
category
+ tags: pasta, spaghetti, meat dishes.
6. Posts VS Pages
POSTS are meant to be displayed in
chronological order. They have all the blog
attributes like categories and tags.
PAGES are intended for content that wouldn’t
make sense as a blog post. About, Contact
Page, privacy policies etc. PAGES > Add New
7. Pages
Pages can have sub-pages
1. Publish a page
2. Create a sub-page, use the Page Attributes
panel select Parent
Page Attributes on the right (depend on the
theme)
