This document summarizes a project called "Women in Action" that aims to increase climate change adaptation and conservation of forest biodiversity for women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The 30-month project has a budget of CAD $10 million and involves teams from Canada and DRC working with local partners. The project expects to see 1000 women in the agricultural and forestry sectors increase their climate change adaptation in a way that benefits forest conservation. It also expects to see these women gain greater adoption of natural-based solutions for adaptation, increased control over resources for income-generating activities, and more influence in their communities regarding rights, challenges, and solutions relating to climate change and biodiversity.
