This document discusses challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and efforts to promote more women in business leadership. It notes that women are less likely to receive funding from venture capitalists due to biases, both implicit and explicit. However, businesses led by women have been shown to outperform those led by men in terms of returns. The organization ARIS is working to enable more women to participate in its startup accelerator program, with over 50% of current resident teams being led by women. The document advocates for starting with education to empower more girls and women to become visionary business leaders.
NCET Biz Cafe | Lauren Slemenda, How a diverse workforce improves your bottom...Archersan
Concepts like diversity and inclusion are important; but they’re more than just buzzwords, and they can and do impact your bottom line.
We’d love to show you the whys and hows at the September Biz Café, which will begin with a presentation by diversity consultant Lauren Slemenda and conclude with a panel discussion from experts representing traditionally underserved groups.
That’s right: We’re shaking things up in September and transforming Biz Café into a Q/A panel discussion! So come armed with your questions — maybe even those you’ve been uncomfortable asking before, like:
• What the heck does cisgender mean?
• Will hiring someone with a disability end up costing me more money in training, insurance or equipment?
• Doesn’t hiring a more diverse workforce open me up to potential discrimination suits?
• How do I find people of color who have the skills I need?
In this Biz Café — “How a diverse workforce improves your bottom line” — here are some of the takeaways, as facilitated by Lauren and our panel:
• Learn which techniques for boosting diversity work, which ones don’t, and how you can start taking steps today towards a more equitable and synergistic workplace.
• We’ll discuss new, innovative techniques that research has shown to be effective, including universal design and bystander intervention, and dive into why traditional approaches like day-long diversity workshops might actually be making things worse.
• We’ll also talk about how things you might not think of as “diversity initiatives” (like setting realistic timelines for projects and encouraging lifelong learning) are powerful tools in creating a corporate culture that supports and sustains equity and inclusion.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

4. Why are there not more women entrepreneurs? Why are there not more women entrepreneurs?
• Women are less likely to have information about how to
become an entrepreneur and to have female role
models.
• Differences in the way women experience failure,
stress / emotional tax, family obligations?
• Lack of confidence.
• Biggest problem – lack of funding.
5. Women aren’t being funded equally – why?

Percentage of global VC deals for companies with at least one female founder
• VCs are overwhelmingly male, and men tend to have social networks filled with men. So due to the VC
firms’ composition, they tend to fund individuals like themselves.
• The historical minority of female founders means a historical minority of female-entrepreneur successes,
which makes it harder for women to get funding (investors have trouble thinking of too many successes,
and thus automatically bias against).
• Studies have also found that VCs talk about men and women entrepreneurs differently, and that they ask
them different types of questions, which can ultimately affect the funding they receive.
6. But they are winning…
Companies with female founders
performed 63% better than all-male
founded teams
Women-led startups have a 35 percent higher return on investment (ROI.)
Women’s lack of financing means they end up owning more of
their company and may get to profitability sooner than if they had
all the capital in the world.
Three out of the ten top 10 investments of all time based on value created
for investors, have at least one female founder.
They are less likely to create a product simply because it’s feasible or
technology suddenly allows them to do so. Instead, they focus on
addressing real issues or problems they’ve observed or experienced.
Enterprises founded by women, employ more women.
Women know they’re likely to start with less funding, but determined to scale
their companies, they generally learn early to be capital efficient.
