There is typically one alpha male and female in a wolf pack, with the rest being males and females. Male pups are sometimes rare since there are more females. Younger wolves hunt smaller prey like rabbits while older wolves hunt larger animals like deer. Wolves come in different colors like gray or red and have various eye colors including green, brown, red, yellow, or blue. Wolf pups are born in the summer and stay in the den until older where they learn to hunt on their own while the mother continues providing food. Wolves primarily eat meat like deer and elk but may also eat grass when sick.
