This document outlines the Gay Straight Alliance project which aims to promote safe neighborhoods for all residents through preventing and efficiently addressing incidents. The project runs from 2012-2014 and involves organizations focused on LGBT rights, housing, elderly advocacy, and the police. Key activities include developing a social emergency plan for LGBT-specific incidents, creating a database of best practices, launching a website to connect these resources, supporting innovative local initiatives, and seeking a national covenant to commit partners to sustainable efforts. The overall goal is to build on existing work to make neighborhoods safe and resources accessible for all.
