Włocławek is a town located on the Vistula River between the regions of Kujawy and Dobrzyn. It has a long history dating back to medieval times and was once an important trade center and seat of the bishop of Kujawy. The town contains several historic monuments including the Cathedral from 1340-1411 and the Church of St. Vitalis from 1330. Today, Włocławek has attractions like the Marshal Edward Rydz Smigly steel bridge and sports centers, as well as a shopping center and cinema. The town square contains a monument for soldiers who died in wars and is a popular place for residents to relax.
