Anti-India tweet by Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has come under
fire yet again after he shared an article by a national
daily which made a case in the favour of Pakistan
over Uri attack. The article claimed that it was
not Pakistan but India which was getting isolated
internationally after Uri attacks by Pakistan terrorists.
“Excellent article. On Uri, rather than Pak, India
seems to be getting isolated internationally,” Kejriwal
tweeted.
Surgical strike across LoC by Indian
Army
In a stunning reprisal for the Uri terror attack by the
Pakistani terrorists that breached decades of self-
imposed restraint, India has conducted “surgical
strikes” on seven terrorist “launch pads” across the
Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
in the early hours September 29. Top government
sources said that it was “not possible to immediately
quantify” the number of terrorists killed in the strikes
carried out by crack Para-Special Forces who has
simultaneously hit five launchpads located 1.5-6.5
km inside PoK. “According to an initial estimate, as
many as 40 to 55 terrorists were killed. But it will
take some time to arrive at the approximate number
of casualties after the Para-SF teams are properly
de-briefed and photographs and videos analysed,”
said a source.
11. Telangana inundated by flood
The flood situation deteriorated in Telangana as water
levels continued to rise in Godavari river following
heavy rainfall in upper catchment areas and release
of water from Maharashtra dams. Several places
across Telangana continued to receive heavy rainfall
paralysing normal life. People in low lying areas on the
banks Godavari were been put on high alert and are
being evacuated to safer places and relief camps are
being opened. The Indian Air Force (IAF) rescued 24
labourers who were caught in floods in Telangana’s
Medak district.
Supreme Cort order on Cauvery
burned Karnataka
On 2 September 2016, Supreme Court asked
Karnataka to consider Tamil Nadu’s plea on
humanitarian grounds and release water and
advised both states to maintain harmony. The Court
asked Karnataka to revert by 5 September 2016 as
to how much water it can release. On 5 September
2016 Karnataka informed the Supreme Court that
it can release 10,000 cusecs per day, while Tamil
Nadu demanded 20,000 cusecs per day. Supreme
Court ordered Karnataka to release 15,000 cusecs
per day to Tamil Nadu for next 10 days till 16
September 2016.
On 9 September 2016, the state of Karnataka
observed a bandh and protested against the release
of water to Tamil Nadu. Supreme Court modified the
5 September order, directing Karnataka to release
12,000 cusecs of water till 20 September 2016. This
decision by the Supreme Court lead to an unrest
among the people of Karnataka as the water release
limit was increased by extending the number of
days and violence broke out in Bangalore, Mysore,
Mandya and other parts of state. Two people were
killed in the unrest and section 144 was imposed in
Bangalore. Curfew was also imposed on few parts of
Bangalore.
12. Pakistani terrorists attack Army base
at Uri
At around 5:30 a.m. on 18 September, four militants
attacked an Indian Army brigade headquarters in
Uri, near the Line of Control in a pre-dawn ambush.
They were said to have lobbed 17 grenades in three
minutes. As a rear administrative base camp with
tents caught fire, 17 army personnel were killed. A gun
battle ensued lasting six hours, during which all the
four militants were killed. An additional 19-30 soldiers
were reported to have been injured in the attack.
Combing operations continued to flush out additional
terrorists thought to be alive.
Most of the soldiers killed were from the 10 Dogra
and 6 Bihar regiments. One of the injured soldiers
succumbed to his injuries on 19 September at R&R
Hospital in New Delhi, followed by another soldier on
24 September, bringing the death toll to 19.
Pakistan isolated, India pulls out of
SAARC meet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not travel to
Islamabad for the regional SAARC summit in
November, three other members - Bangladesh,
Afghanistan and Bhutan - have also pulled out of the
meet, isolating the host Pakistan. The SAARC or
South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation
summit cannot take place even if one of the eight
members withdraws. India has said “cross-border
terror attacks” have created an environment that is
“not conducive” for the meeting. Foreign ministry
spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted, “Regional
cooperation and terror don’t go together. India pulls
out of SAARC Summit in Islamabad.”
The decision is one in a series of key moves in
India’s global campaign to isolate Pakistan after
four terrorists crossed the border into Kashmir and
attacked an army base in Uri, killing 18 soldiers.

Handloom Saree starts with dyeing
the silk yarn. Dyeing is the coloring
process of the yarn by dipping the
yarn in the boiled color water in
very high temperature, higher the
temperature durability of colour is
also higher. Dyeing of the yarn is
done making sure that the color
is spread uniformly throughout
the yarn and it doesn’t affect the
quality of the yarn. The coloring
process is a very crucial step in
getting a good colourful saree.
The colours are applied as per the
specifications of the designers and
also some times as per the orders
from the customers who orders for
a designer Saree. After coloring the
silk yarn is dried in shade. Drying
yarn in sun can be harmful to yarn.
Process
The count used in weaving gives
the softness and hardness of the
fabric. Count means the number
of threads used in the length and
breadth for weaving known as warp
and weft respectively. Each and
every thread of the Bannerugatta
handloom saree is hand woven.
Each weaver works from home
with all his / her family helping in
Different steps of the process. It
requires approximately 4-8 days
(depending on the variety of
saree) of continuous efforts of two
persons for weaving a saree. It is
also rolled over small sticks to use
for weft.
After dyeing and drying the yarn,
it is converted to thread and is
loaded as warp which is called
pavvu and then it is loaded into
the loom for actual weaving. One
pavvu will make 12 sarees. It will
take 2 months to complete weaving
of one pavvu. The weaver will get
a remuneration of around `250 per
saree.
Techniques
Bannerugatta handloom sarees
are traditionally woven in the
interlocked-weft technique. The
design required on the saree is
initially drawn in a computer and
then this is punched into a card
and then these cards are loaded in
Jacard in the loom.

Industry
Once famous Bannerugatta
Handloom products are now
becoming extinct due to the low
wages prevailing in the industry.
Previously Bannerugatta was full
of talented weavers who used to
do magic in the looms to produce
the best handloom products. Now
you can see that a very small
number of weavers are actually
in the profession and most of the
handlooms are being converted
to power looms. One can see
only rare cases of handlooms in
Bannerugatta. There is an urgent
situation to take necessary steps to
protect the traditional Bannerugatta
handloom products.
Weaver’s voice
The weavers demand a
responsible role by the government
to protect the handloom industry
by providing subsidy for yarn and
a rehabilitation package for the
weavers who have suffering due
to the high cost of yarn and low
wages prevailing in the industry.
They hope that if the government
takes the responsibility to support
the handloom industry by way of
showcasing and marketing the
handloom products, then only
the industry can survive or else
the present situation has started
the end of handloom industry in
Bannerugatta. The new generation
is not interested in the profession
due to the hard labour and long
hours to bring out the finished
product, but the returns are not
lucrative to make them stay in the
profession.

The Dungri Garasia are a clan of the Bhil ethnic
community found in the states of Gujarat and
Rajasthan in India. The word Dungri literally
translates as hills and Garasia means a clearer of
forest in the Rajasthani dialect.
According to their traditions,
this community of Bhils
migrated from Mewar
about three hundred
years ago, to escape the
Mughal forces attacking
the Maharana Pratap.
They are now found in the
taluqas of Meghraj, Bhiloda,
Vijaynagar, and Khed
Brahma of Sabarkantha
District, Gujarat, where
the community still speaks
Mewari.
In Gujarat, the Dungri
Garasia are an
endogamous community.
They consists of two sub-
divisions, the Bhagat
and Sansari, who do not
intermarry. These sub-
divisions in turn consist
of clans, which are
exogamous. The major
clan groupings are the
Pandor, Parmar, Moria,
Damor, Gameti, Taral,
Bhagora,Katara, gelat,
kharadi, Menat ,Limbat,
Ninama, Bodat and Asari .
The Garasias resembles
closely with the advanced
Rajput clans in many
ways. Due to these, the
British administration
had even categorized the
Garasias as a branch of
Rajputs who were petty
land holders. Even today
amidst poverty and deep
isolation it is surprised to
see that Garasias not only
as prime agriculturalists,
but also as holders of large
chunk of lands in the remote
slopes of Aravali Mountains.

Their houses are widely
dispersed each surround by

Garasias are poor and are
deprived of basic services
like, health, education
and safe drinking water.
Farming is mostly rain fed.
According to historical
records, in colonial India,
as land became scarce
both through colonial
expansion and slash-
and-burn agriculture
Garasias became
further marginalized and
associated themselves
with Bhils, a more primitive
tribal group. The nationalist
movement created further
division between groups
as the Rajput identity was
grounded in traditional
customs and their heritage
as rulers.
The Garasia women are
known for their colourful
attires and silver jewellery.
Dhols (drums) and bow-
arrows are also part of
the material culture of
the Garasias. Women’s
responsibility include
cooking, tending to cattle,
milking the animals and
looking after the children.
The men do the physical
labour such as ploughing,
harvesting and building the
houses. There is a strong
prevalence of joint family
system though there is very
little unity or cooperation
between the village clans.

Gadia Lohars
nomadic community of
Rajasthan
Gadia Lohars or Gaduliya Lohars are a nomadic
community of Rajasthan, India. They are found in
the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. They are lohar
(ironsmith) by profession who moves from one place to
another place on bullock carts, which in Hindi are called
gadi, hence the name ‘Gadia Lohar’.
23. OCTOBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM
are known as Gaddi Lohar,
while in Uttar Pradesh they
are Bhuvariya. In Haryana
they are called as Bhubalia

they are known as Gadulia

get different titles depending
upon their movements and
location, such as: Maliwi
Gadulia Lohar, Chittori
Gadulia Lohar, Mewar
Gadulia Lohar and Malwa
Gadulia Lohar.
Their mother tongue is
Indo-Aryan language, called
Mewari, but many of them
are conversant with Hindi
as well. The Devanagari
script is used for writing.
In permanent settlements
they construct mud or brick
These Lohars are different
from the Lohar clan of Iran,
Pakistan and India. They
usually make and repair
agricultural and household
implements.
Their forefathers were
blacksmiths in the army
of Maharana Pratap of
Mewar. When Mewar fell to
the Mughals they pledged
to never return to their
homeland and never to
settle anywhere else until
Rana’s hegemony was
restored.
Bullock carts are their
homes. They lead a
hard life and despite the
vagaries of weather and the
uncertainties of their trade,
they are known as children
of the desert and are a
handsome and cheerful
lot and remain buoyantly
dignified, unmindful of their
hard life.
Gadulia Lohars are originally
from the state of Rajasthan
and have scattered all over
India. Presently they inhabit
in the neighbouring states
such as, Uttar Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh, Haryana,
Maharashtra, Punjab,
Gujarat, Delhi. They are
variously known in different
states; for example, in
Madhya Pradesh and Delhi
they are called as Gadia
Lohar, in Maharashtra they
houses with proper roof.
This is because of the
economic changes coming
to this nomadic group. When
they settle at a place for
more than six months they
generally make low walls
of mud bricks and then
construct the roof of shack
or of plastic covering. When
they live at a place for less
than six months they do not
construct any walls but they
use the plastic sheet for roof,
supported by wooden poles.
They also have tents when
they do not live at a place
more than a week. Those
families, which go from
village to village in two or
three days, do not construct
any shelter but they live
below the cart itself.
When Mewar fell to the Mughals
they pledged to never return to

They travel in a small group,
known as band, which
means a group of people
who are related to each
other and sometimes work
together. They always share
the income among the family
even if some members have
not helped in that work. As
these bands do not often
associate with other bands
of the same tribe, certain
cultural practices, customs
and characters are different
than each other. They adopt
the methods and implement
the local tools, dress,
dialect, standard of living,
way of life, customs, habits,
ways, etc.
The Lohar tribal people
have simple daily habit
related to preparing food,
both vegetarian and non-
vegetarian, for themselves
as well as searching for
metal tools working in the
settled place. As they are
travelling with cattle, their
livestock are well-fed and
cared for. There are some
other important points of
their migration like searching
for water resources for
various purposes, the
medical treatment and
exchanging their tool making
service for grains and fire
wood from villagers.
In a family unit there are
Husband, Wife, Children,
their joint family members
including grandmother and
grandfather. The structure
of family is neither rigid nor
a general structure of the
family. Their laws or religion
do not make any deal with
family matters.
Their characters, behaviour
and reactions have ever
changed. They do not follow
a certain law established
on any divine or legal
framework. Their decisions
are purely based on
reactions to the experiences,
awareness, learning
and outcome of their
environment that they stay
and that are also subjected
to error.
The Gadulia Lohars are
Hindus. Their deities are
Kalkamata, Sitalamata and
Ramdev. There is a temple
of Kalkamata in Chittorgarh.
They keep photographs
of the deities in house for
worshipping and also their
kings.
They always wear the
traditional dress but those
who have settled or move
after long intervals, wear the
traditional dress only during
ceremonies. Otherwise they
wear the normal Rajasthani
dresses as other people.
The young generation
and children do not wear

men and women only wear

The Gadulia Lohar wears

occasions.
Women wear pendant like

What pre-conditions? We

of friendship! We have in
fact attempted a paradigm
of friendship in the last
two years which is without

of Pakistan’s complicity

when confronted with such
evidence, Pakistan remains
in denial. It persists in the

Healthy living is
Happy living
Having a healthy living is the
most important factor in our
life. Healthy living can lead
us to the point where we can
enjoy life to the fullest until
we grow old and will never
experience anything that
might harm us or give us
pain. Finding happiness in
your everyday life can make
a positive impact on your
overall health. Happiness has
a positive effect in lowering
the cortisol levels, the stress
hormone that is related to
health conditions like type 2
diabetes, hypertension, and
autoimmune diseases.
Make the commitment to
think differently about yourself
and make happiness the first
thing of the day,” Gabrielle
Bernstein. “When we look
at ourselves in the mirror
every morning and think
of all the things we want to
change, that’s a choice we
make,” says Bernstein. “Make
the commitment to think
differently about yourself and
make happiness the first thing
of the day.”
Bernstein recommends to
employ her “Snap Out of
It” meditation technique, in
which you wear a rubber band
on your wrist and whenever
you start to think any negative
thoughts about yourself or
towards another person, flick
the rubber band against your
arm. This will literally help
you “snap” out of the negative
thoughts.
Whenever you feel stressed
about the responsibilities
and commitments, unplug
from the world, shut off your
computer and phone and tap
into your inner child. When
we become more childlike, we
grow our capacity for curiosity
and creativity. “Open up to
silliness and having more fun.
That childlike energy brings
us a much more positive
perspective and releases
tension,” Bernstein says.
Sleep is essential to optimal
health, but people often
forget that it is also a spiritual
practice that benefits us
mentally and emotionally.
Lacking essential shut-eye
is another way we block the
happiness from our lives.
To help you get a restful
night of sleep, practice
simple Kundalini breathing
technique.
Sit up straight on your bed
and breathe in using a U
breath (Pucker your mouth as
if you were holding a quarter
between your lips.). Breathe
in and exhale through your
nose. Continue this cycle of
breath for one minute.
These are very simple tips
which anyone can practice for
a healthy living. Remember
healthy living is always a
happy living.

Wealthy foreigner’s
US citizenship to
expire on September 30th
A contentious visa program that allows wealthy foreigners to
obtain US citizenship by investing in economic development
projects will expire at the end of this month. The program, called
EB-5, allows foreign investors to gain citizenship by investing
$500,000 to more than $1 million to finance a business that
eventually employs, directly or indirectly, at least 10 American
workers in economically depressed areas.
NRI IMMIGRATION
39. OCTOBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM
Developers and supporters
in Congress say that
the program, run by the
Department of Homeland
Security, has brought billions
of dollars to areas that would
otherwise not have access
to capital. But the program
has been marred by fraud
and used to build large
projects in wealthier areas
like Manhattan and the Las
Vegas Strip instead of high-
unemployment or rural areas.
Critics of the EB-5 program,
Sens. Charles E. Grassley,
R-Iowa, and Patrick J. Leahy,
D-Vt., see reauthorization of
the program as an opportunity
to fix problems with how the
money is used, increase
oversight and address
national security issues. They
sent a letter to Senate leaders
opposing reauthorization
of the program without a
significant overhaul.
“The program has become
plagued by fraud and abuse
and if not reformed, it should
be allowed to expire on
September 30th,” they wrote.
“There is a need for more
oversight and transparency,”
said Ronald R. Fieldstone,
a Miami lawyer who has
been involved in using
the EB-5 funding for
development projects. “If
there is no independence
in the administering and
the distribution of the funds,
it exposes the program to
instances of fraud.”
Angelique Brunner, a
Washington-based developer
and spokeswoman for the
EB-5 Investment Coalition,
which is made up of investors
and developers, said that
many of the examples that
critics point to as EB-5
investments in upscale areas
failed to note that the program
helped transform places that
were previously economically
depressed.
“One of the challenges of
EB-5 investment is that
people look at what an
area looks like after the
investment,” she said. “It’s
hard to convince them what it
looked like before.”
Officials at Homeland
Security Investigations, a
division of Immigration and
Customs Enforcement, said
that they were concerned that
those who prepare overseas
documents “may try to use
increasingly sophisticated
methods to circumvent” the
program. In a 2013 memo,
the agency suggested that
the EB-5 regional center
program end because “there
are no safeguards that can be
put in place that will ensure
the integrity” of the regional
center model.

Presidential
debates kicks off
US presidential candidates Donald Trump and
Hillary Clinton exchanged a handshake and a
smile at the lip on the stage provided by New
York’s Hofstra University, there was a palpable
sense that the ‘warmth’ — no matter how
insincere — would be ephemeral.
WORLD NEWS
41. OCTOBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM
As the debate itself was
lacking in content, insight
and exectution. A CNN /
ORC poll of debate-watchers
suggested that 62 percent felt
Clinton had won, as against
27 percent opting for a Trump
win, it was less about how
much either candidate won
and more about how little
they lost.
Trump put himself at a
disadvantage by appearing to
be under-prepared. Blustery
generalisations, a Sarah
Palin-esque lack of specifics
and a refusal to stay on
topic made the Republican
look a distinct amateur in
all areas except one. Trade
was where Trump appeared
to have done his homework
and seemed reasonably
solid when backing up his
positions on plurilateral trade
agreements.
By positioning himself as
this big businessman and
constantly drawing attention
to the country’s debt as
well as the lack of jobs, his
message seemed to be that
what the US really needs is
Donald Trump as CEO.
To the first question by the
moderator, Lester Holt,
relating to jobs and job
creation, both Clinton and
Trump began laying into
each other.
“Trumped-up trickle down
economics” was the phrase
by Clinton to describe how
Trump intends to ‘Make
America Great Again’,
adding, “Donald wants to
help the rich so as to build
the economy. I want to help
the small businessmen.”
In turn, the Republican
candidate fired back that it
was the trade agreements,
particularly Nafta (the
North American Free Trade
Agreement), that were
to blame. Fixing these
‘defective’ trade agreements,
he claimed, was something
“Clinton, politicians and
others should have been
doing this for years”.
Clinton and Trump both
set about establishing their
personas right from the first
question. With repeated
references to her father Hugh
E Rodham and his drapery
business, Clinton’s position
was that she, as the daughter
of a small businessman, was
speaking on behalf of small
businessmen.
Trump, on the other hand,
with repeated references to
his own business ventures,
including two particularly
tasteless ones when
discussing the Charlotte
shooting and aftermath
(“I have investments in
Charlotte”) and growing
crime rates in Chicago (“I
own property there”) sought
to project himself primarily as
a successful businessman.
Clinton appeared to be trying
to tell her country that the
economic and trade policies
she is suggesting would help
the common man and result
in job creation.
Meanwhile, Trump appeared
to be using business sense
to explain some of the
strange things he has said in
the past like getting allies to
pay for protection. “NATO?
You have to understand I’m
a businessperson. Number
one, 28 countries of NATO,
not all are paying their fair
share. And they should be
paying us,” he said, using
the US’ $20 trillion debt as
the reason that payment was
required.
Clinton was trying to project
Trump as being delusional,
misguided and living in his
own reality (something to
which she even alluded
in the first segment of the
debate), while Trump was
playing on Hillary’s ‘30 years’
in government as being full
of ‘bad experiences’ and
failures.

Uri attacks
Pakistan’s
dirty tricks
The Uri attack was an attack
by four heavily armed
Pakistani terrorists on 18
September 2016, near the
town of Uri in the Indian
state of Jammu and Kashmir.
It was reported as “the
deadliest attack on security
forces in Kashmir in two
decades”.
At around 5:30 a.m. on 18
September, four terrorists
attacked an Indian Army
Brigade headquarters at the
town of Uri near the Line
of Control in a pre-dawn
ambush. They have lobbed
17 grenades in 3 minutes. As
a rear administrative base
camp with tents caught fire,
13–14 army personnel were
killed. A gun battle ensued
lasting six hours, during
which all the four terrorists
were killed. An additional 19
- 30 soldiers were reported
to have been injured in the
attack.
Most of the soldiers killed
were from the 10 Dogra and
6 Bihar regiments. One of the
injured soldiers succumbed to
his injuries on 19 September
at R&R Hospital in New Delhi.
As of 19 September 2016,
total casualties on the military
side is poised at 18.
The high casualties are
primarily believed due to
non-fire retardant transition
tents. This was the time
of a troops shift, whereby
the 6 Bihar regiment was
replacing 10 Dogra regiment.
The incoming troops were
housed in tents, which are
normally avoided in sensitive
areas around LOC like Uri.
The attackers sneaked into
the camp breaching heavy
security and seemed to know
exactly where to strike. Seven
of the personnel killed were
support staff, including cooks
and barbers.
Army personnel have
recovered a map from the
slain terrorists which had

markings in the Pashtun
language and indicated a
detailed plan of action. Four
AK-47 rifles and four under
barrel grenade launchers
along with ammunition were
recovered. Some of the items
had Pakistani markings.
The Director General
of military operations,
Lieutenant-General Ranbir
Singh, said that there is
enough evidence that the
attackers belonged to Jaish-
e-Mohammad, an Islamist
militant group in Pakistan. He
established a hotline contact
with his Pakistani counterpart
and conveyed India’s serious
concern on the issue.
The National Investigation
Agency (NIA) has registered a
case to probe the terror attack
at the Army installation in Uri
in Jammu and Kashmir in
which 18 soldiers were killed
and dozens others injured.
The NIA has took over the
investigation from the Jammu
and Kashmir Police, which
had registered a case on
Sunday and began a probe by
collecting evidence available
with the Army formation at
Uri.
The inquiry would suggest
measures to prevent such
attacks in the future as
Pakistani based groups are
indulging more in “shallow
infiltration”, which means
that terrorists strike the first
available installation after
crossing the Line of Control.

modern disease.
One of the most glaring
mistakes that conventional
medicine has made is to
assume that all of these
modern diseases like
diabetes, heart disease,
depression, autoimmune
disease, etc. are unrelated
conditions that don’t share a
common cause.
The truth is that these
conditions do have unique
features, they all share a
common origin - the modern
lifestyle. Poor diet, nutrient
deficiencies, stress, lack of
sleep, lack of or the wrong
type of exercise, toxins and
medications, all directly
contributed to the problems
that are ruining our health.
A healthy lifestyle is quite
simple to achieve - one does
not need to do anything
“crazy” to adopt a perfect
lifestyle. The importance of
living a perfect lifestyle for
maintaining general good
health and preventing chronic
diseases has been the aim of
all. A better lifestyle does not
happen, by just wishing. In
order to get a better lifestyle
we need to put ourselves in
the position to achieve that
lifestyle.
Our health continues to
deteriorate at an alarming
pace, and the incidence
of chronic, degenerative
disease is skyrocketing each
year. Over the last 50 years
the medical establishment
has vigorously promoted a
low-fat, high carbohydrate
diet, claiming that it would
protect us from heart disease
and diabetes and make us
healthier and happier. The
statistics make it clear that the
The best way to have a
perfect lifestyle is to follow the
following tips.
Don’t eat toxins.
Nourish your body.
Eat real food.
Supplement wisely.
Heal your gut.
Manage stress.
Move like your ancestors.
Sleep more deeply.
Practice pleasure.
And finally, the most
important aspect to
remember is:
The biggest obstacle to
perfect health is your mind!

RELATIONSHIP
There are numerous things
that have to be taken into
consideration, such as
appreciating each other, not
assuming or taking each
other for granted, forgiveness,
patience and tolerance.
These attributes have to be
a continuous part of every
relationship, for it to be a
lasting and successful.
When we go through a genuine
crisis, our intimate relationships
with other people, your spouse
or sweetheart, children, family
and friends are affected.
People in crisis find it difficult
to socialize with others, difficult
to concentrate and difficult to
have any get-up-and-go. Libido
diminishes considerably and
emotions other than depression
or anxiety feel blunted and
difficult to access.
Normal things that have
brought pleasure in the
past, watching a movie,
going out on the town,
dancing, sports, sex and
so on, no longer feels to be
pleasurable or interesting.
A crisis strains the
relationships. A person in
crisis is likely to be morose,
pessimistic, hopeless,
sad, anxious, fatigued and
less fun. People in crisis
complains a lot. They say
negative things about what’s
wrong with their lives,
their work, their families,
their partners and with the
world. They often have flat
emotions, withdraw from their
vital relationships and are
prone to saying or doing things
that are insensitive, hostile,
angry or uncaring.
What you can do to keep your
relationship intact
Affectionate touch is the
one thing you can’t let slide.
Cuddling, holding hands,
hugging or just sitting next to
each other, staying in touch is
vital to keeping a relationship
connected through hard times.
Control your words and actions
toward others. Don’t take your
anger or irritation out on your
intimate partner, your children
or other people.
Keeping
Relationships Intact
All relationships, regardless of what kind they may be,
as a single, married, friendships etc, require work.

Playing and having fun
reduces despair and reminds
us that we’re still alive. It
keeps us connected, knowing
that someone is here with us
through the hard times.
Asking someone for their
opinion is the ultimate form of
respect. It says that they are
important to you and you care
enough to take the time to find
out their thoughts. Respecting
and valuing your partner will
go a long way in creating a
solid foundation for a lasting
relationship.
When you’re in an intimate
relationship with someone,
sometimes saying nothing
is more hurtful than saying
something that may or may not
come out just right. You may
not necessarily be sorry for
what you did, but you can still
be sorry, that the one you love
has been hurt by your actions.
Saying you are sorry isn’t
necessarily an admission of
guilt or wrong-doing, it’s just an
acknowledgment, that you’ve
hurt someone else’s feelings
and you feel bad about it.

LOVE & ROMANCE
FForeplay is a great romantic
activity and it doesn’t take
a lot of skill, preparation or
extra effort. It is also a great
way of transition into just
about any bedroom activity,
from cuddling to a serious
talk.Foreplays for a long time,
before moving on to other
activities can enhance the
sweetness of the moments.
Use the time to talk and
caress gently, stroking hair
and running your finger along
their collar-bone, all gives a
pleasurable comfort.
Giving your partner a
massage is a good idea when
it comes to being romantic.
Massages are very relaxing
and a great way to lead in
to other romantic activities.
A light touch in just the right
places will feel just good.
Break the mold in terms of
the kisses you are giving your
partner in favor of something
new and exciting. Get creative
with your kisses. Kiss every
freckle and mole. There are
lots of ways to making kissing
more romantic, sexy, and
memorable.
If you have not been partaking
in foreplay, now is the best
time to start. If your foreplay
has been a little and one
sided, now is the time to turn
the tables. By throwing all
of your attention into your
partner’s pleasure, you’ll really
grab their attention and their
gratitude.
As long as you speak from the

Everybody likes to romance with their sweetheart.
This helps in a relationship, by bringing you closer to

heart and is honest about your
feelings, your partner will be
very touched. Tell them what
they mean to you and what
your life feels like when they’re
in it. This will make them feel
great and help to set up a
really romantic mood.
Talking about all the good
things that you would like to
want in your partner gives you
a great way to express your
love in a way that really puts
the focus on them. This is very
romantic and will definitely
warm their heart with feelings
of love and affection.
Telling your partner just
how sexy they are can be a
hugely romantic statement. It
is especially important when
your partner does not really
see themselves as a sexual
creature or someone that is
desirable, because when you
show them that you do think of
them this way, they start to feel
better about themselves.

Jabalpur is a city in the
Mahakaushal region in the

It is bordered by Katni to
the north, Umaria to the
north-east, Dindori to the

major spiritual center being
the birthplace of Maharishi

important Jain shrines.
History
There is no consensus
on the origin of the name
Jabalpur. Some scholars
believe it could have
stemmed from the Arabic
root “Jah-BAYL” meaning
“mountain, hill or slope” (as
elevations) of “Purwa” region,
hence Jah-bayl-purwa or
Jabalpur, since the black
granite hills are prominent
geological formations found
in the Garha-Purwa region of
Jabalpur.
An unrelated term Jauli-
pattala has been found in a
few post-Gupta and Kalchuri
inscriptions found in Jabalpur.
It has been hypothesized
that Jabalpur may be a
cognate of the Afghan city of
Zabulistan since a princess of
this Afghan city was married
to one of the Kalchuri rulers
of Tripuri, who later founded
Jauli-pattala to settle the
people from Zabulistan.
Popularly, Jabalpur is
postulated to be mythological
Jabalipattan or Jabalipuram
of the legendary atheist
sage Jaabaali mentioned in
the epic Ramayana, as his
tapasya-bhoomi ( place of
penance).

In this battle of Narrai in 1564

Rani Durgavati made supreme
sacrifice, along with her
prime minister Adhar Simha
Kayastha and others. Initially,
‘Asaf-Khan’, Commander
of Mughal Emperor Akbar’s
forces, held Garha-Mandla
as an independent chief but
eventually submitted to the
Mughal emperor Akbar.
After Raja Sangramsahi, the
next most illustrious king was
Raja Hridaysahi (ruled c. 1652-

also ruled for almost 52 years.
He ruled the Garha-Mandla

then back to Mandla fort in c.
1698 CE for strategic reasons.
Most of the waterbodies

INDIAN HISTORY
India’s history and culture is dynamic, spanning back
to the beginning of human civilization. It begins with
a mysterious culture along the Indus River and in the
farming communities in the southern lands of India. The
history of India is punctuated by constant integration
of migrating people with diverse cultures that surround
India. Available evidence suggests that the use of iron,
copper and other metals was widely prevalent in the
Indian sub-continent at a fairly early period. By the end
of the fourth millennium BC, India had emerged as a
region of highly developed civilization.

TThe History of India
begins with the birth of the
Indus Valley Civilization,
more precisely known as
Harappan Civilization. It
flourished around 2,500
BC, in the western part
of South Asia. The Indus
Valley was home to the
largest of the four ancient
urban civilizations of
Egypt, Mesopotamia,
India and China. Nothing
was known about this
civilization till 1920s
when the Archaeological
Department of India carried
out excavations in the
Indus valley wherein the
ruins of the two old cities,
viz. Mohenjodaro and
Harappa were unearthed.
The ruins of buildings and
other things like household
articles, weapons of war,
gold and silver ornaments,
seals, toys, pottery wares,
etc., show that some four to
five thousand years ago a
highly developed Civilization
flourished in this region.
The Indus valley civilization
was basically an urban
civilization and the people
lived in well-planned and
well-built towns, which were
also the centers for trade.
The ruins of Mohenjodaro
and Harappa show that
these were magnificent
merchant cities-well planned,
scientifically laid and well
looked after. They had wide
roads and a well-developed
drainage system. The
houses were made of baked
bricks and had two or more
storeys.
The highly civilized
Harappans knew the art of
growing cereals and wheat
and barley constituted their
staple food. They consumed
vegetables and fruits and
ate mutton, pork and eggs
as well. Evidences show that
they wore cotton as well as
woollen garments. By 1500
BC, the Harappan culture
came to an end. Among
various causes ascribed to
the decay of Indus Valley
Civilization are the recurrent

Vedic civilization
The Vedic civilization is
the earliest civilization in
the history of ancient India
associated with the coming of
Aryans. It is named after the
Vedas, the early literature of the
Hindus. The Vedic Civilization
flourished along the river
Saraswati, in a region that now
consists of the modern Indian
states of Haryana and Punjab.
Vedic is synonymous with
Aryans and Hinduism, which
is another name for religious
and spiritual thought that has
evolved from the Vedas. The
largely accepted view is that
a section of Aryans reached
the frontiers of the Indian
subcontinent around 2000 BC
and first settled in Punjab and
it is here, in this land, where
the hymns of Rigveda were
composed.
The Aryans lived in tribes and
spoke Sanskrit, which belonged
to the Indo-European group
of languages. Gradually, the
Aryans intermingled with the
local people and a historic
synthesis was worked out
between the Aryan tribes and
the original inhabitants. This
synthesis broadly came to
be known as Hinduism. The
Ramayana and Mahabharata
were the two great epics of this
period.

Launch Vehicle-F05 (GSLV-F05)
lifted off from the Satish Dhawan
Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra
Pradesh, carrying with it the INSAT-
3DR weather satellite.
“GSLV-F05 is the tenth flight of India’s
Geosynchronous Satellite Launch
Vehicle (GSLV). GSLV-F05 is the flight
in which the indigenously developed
Cryogenic Upper Stage (CUS) is being

The 2,211-kg rocket has
three stages, and the last
stage is fitted with the
cryogenic engine which
provides a thrust that is 1.5
times greater than in vehicles
propelled by conventional
liquid rocket engines. Once
launched, the rocket’s
engines burn and fall off in
stages. At the last stage, the
cryogenic engine comes to
life and takes the satellite
to space. A propulsion
puts the INSAT-3DR into a
Geostationary Transfer Orbit
(GTO).
INSAT-3DR has a Data
Relay Transponder as
well as a Search and
Rescue Transponder to assist
search and rescue operations
of security agencies
including all defence forces,
the Coast Guard, and in
shipping. The INSAT-3DR
joins KALPANA-1 and
INSAT-3D meteorological
satellites currently orbiting
in space. INSAT-3D which
was launched in 2013
counted features like using
Atmospheric Sounding
System to monitor weather.
INSAT-3DR will be capable
of imaging in two thermal
infrared bands for estimation
of sea surface temperature
with better accuracy, as per
ISRO.
In its oval shaped GTO,
the INSAT-3DR satellite is
now orbiting the Earth with
a perigee (nearest point to
Earth) of 169.76 km and
an apogee (farthest point
to Earth) of 36,080.5 km
with an orbital inclination of
20.62 deg with respect to the
equator.

help in healthy living
Placement of toilet in a home is most important
for the health and wealth of the people living
there.
VASTU FOR TOILET
If toilet is placed at
undesirable place then it
would lead to major problems
such as finance loss, health
problems, mental tension,
stress, etc. Vastu-Shastra
lays down rules for the
placement of toilet and WC
so that it won’t create any
complication for the occupant.
The positioning of toilet
should be complaint to Vastu
norms in every way.
Where
1. North-west is ideally
considered for the placement
of toilet while attached toilet in
bathroom must also be in this
direction only.
2. Alternative direction for
the construction of toilet is
South-east.
3. Avoid toilet in North-east
and East.
4. The toilets should be
located at a safe distance
from the kitchen and the
dining room.
5. W.C should always be
on the Southeast / Northwest
Side and facing North / South.
6. WC should never come
down just below the running
stairs.
7. The bigger window
should be on the north and a
smaller one in the west.
8. Door of toilet should be
placed in Eastern sides.
9. Mirror should always be
on the East or North wall.
10. The WC should never
come in front of the bathroom
door.
11. If there is almirah, it

Verse meaning
All men are forced to act
helplessly according to the
impulses born of the modes
of material nature, therefore
no one can refrain from doing
something, not even for a
moment.
Explanation
It is not a question of embodied
life, but it is the nature of
the soul to be always active.
Without the presence of the
spirit soul, the material body
cannot move. The body is only
a dead vehicle to be worked
by the spirit soul, which is
always active and cannot stop
even for a moment. The spirit
soul has to be engaged in the
good work, otherwise it will
be engaged in occupations
dictated by illusory energy.
In contact with material
energy, the spirit soul acquires
material modes and to purify
the soul from such affinities it
is necessary to engage in the
prescribed duties enjoined in
the sastras. But if the soul is
engaged in his natural function,
whatever he is able to do is
good for him.
The renunciation of actions,
factually means not being
attached to them. It does not
mean actually giving them up,
as that is impossible. Nobody
neither a wise man or a fool
under any circumstances,
can refrain from actions for a
moment.
Actions are spoken of as two-
fold in the Paingi scripture.
Actions that are dependent
upon a cause and actions
which are independent of any
cause. The actions that are
dependent upon a cause are
due to the influence of prakriti,
material nature. Independent
actions manifest from the
Supreme Lord.
No living being for the
material existence can remain
inactive even for a moment
without initiating or pursuing
some activity or other. If one
steadfastly determine to
perform absolutely nothing,
still one would be compelled
into action by the qualities
of the three gunas, sattva or
goodness, rajas or passion and
tamas or ignorance.
By adhering to karma yoga,
the yoga of actions without
desires, one’s accumulated
sins will gradually dissolve and
then mastery over the gunas
and prakriti is achieved. At this
time the mind becomes pure
and one becomes qualified for
jnana yoga.
It is not a
question of
embodied
life, but it is
the nature
of the soul
to be always
active.
