Variable speed drives (VSDs) are also used to meet particular starting and stopping requirements. The objective of this thesis is development of Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) using the dSPACE DS1104 DSP controller board for speed control of a phase induction motor. The board enables the linking of the MATLAB/Simulink model to the real time hardware. We have the feasibility of injecting real time analog and digital data into the MATLAB/Simulink model, process it to suit our model requirements, do the simulation, study the response in MATLAB/Control Desk and at the same time get real time analog and digital output from the DSP controller board.

This is a presentation of research in the field of automation of steam turbines power upon 200MW of the group of Process Automation at Institute Mihajlo Pupin, Belgrade. In short, this is a model of steam turbine, which is used during the development of control algorithms steam turbine, power plant personnel training and optimization of steam turbine operation. The model has been adapted to work in real time and is applied in the form of hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation.

The rapid adoption of automation techniques in industry has increased the requirement for better process control. This has resulted in many new applications for AC variable speed drives (VSDs) to control the speed and torque of driven machinery. Variable speed drives (VSDs) are also used to meet particular starting and stopping requirements. The objective of this thesis is development of Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) using the dSPACE DS1104 DSP controller board for speed control of a phase induction motor. The board enables the linking of the MATLAB/Simulink model to the real time hardware. We have the feasibility of injecting real time analog and digital data into the MATLAB/Simulink model, process it to suit our model requirements, do the simulation, study the response in MATLAB/Control Desk and at the same time get real time analog and digital output from the DSP controller board.
Under Water Wireless Control Using Zigbee For Transmissions Systems
The aim of this project is to develop under water communication system using the zigbee protocol stack. A robot can be defined as a programmable, self-controlled device consisting of electronic, electrical, or mechanical units. An industrial robot is officially defined by as an automatically controlled, reprogrammable, multipurpose, manipulator, programmable in three or more axes. Robots are especially desirable for certain work functions because, unlike humans, they never get tired. They can endure physical conditions that are uncomfortable or even dangerous; they can operate in airless conditions.

This document discusses speed control strategies for a three-phase induction motor using different controllers.
