which means respect and obedience towards
one's parents and elders. This value is deeply
ingrained in Chinese society and is considered
a fundamental principle of Confucianism.
· Family unity is highly
valued in Chinese culture,

The Chinese millennials
One child policy is famous world wide which is implemented by china ( 1979-2015) for population
control. Which eventually gave rise to major social imbalances. Since, in China a male child is
responsible for the continuation of the family lineage, female infanticide became common.
This restriction resulted in too much pressure on a single (male) child which consequently led to what
is known as the "Little Emperor Syndrome".
The extra-focused upbringing of a single child by parents and grandparents lead to a generation of
spoiled individuals who would later be regarded as the self-centered, disobedient lot.
The pressure that the whole generation underwent during its developmental years resulted in a
generation of disturbed individuals who lack focus and a sense of responsibility. This generation is also
held responsible for the further deterioration of the traditional Chinese family.

Chinese education system is largely based on centralized government approach.
China is on first rank of PISA in 2018 (Programme for International Student Assessment)
is an international study It aims to evaluate education systems worldwide by testing the
skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students ranked
Chinese education is very strict exam-oriented and for putting too much pressure on

Cultural
ASPECTS
The people have been open to the outside
world for only the past 40 years. Through
transformation, cities have commercialized and
modernized. Though behavior remains tightly
regulated and the culture echoes the country's
feudal past, Contemporary Chinese culture is
heavily influenced by a unique combination of
its embedded traditions and rapid
modernization.
There are concepts that are the core presences
of Chinese culture Confucianism, guanxi and
communist government.
Recently its culture is also defined by its
innovation, preservation and socio-economic
evolution.
Confucianism
natural inequality is accepted
and respected
emphasizes the importance of
healthy human interactions
core concept that requires
one to give parents and
elders utmost respect and
devotion
Guanxi
The word ‘guanxi’ used to describe
relationships that may also result in the
exchange of connections or favors that
benefit both people.
The principle of guanxi commits
friends, family and, at times, business
colleagues to assist one another.
Guanxi plays a large role in business
interactions and relations. It often
refers to networking. It can be
necessary to creating
The Great Firewall of China
China has restrictions on the Internet. Commonly referred to as “The Great Firewall of China” and
perhaps more impressive than the original, this drives both foreigners and Chinese crazy. At least there
are Chinese versions of many of the sites that are blocked – WeChat is Twitter, Ren Ren is Facebook,
Youku is YouTube, Baidu is Google, and so on. If you’re hoping to keep up with people on Facebook,
write a blog, use GMail, or post videos on YouTube, make sure you buy a good VPN before you arrive in
China. There’s so much more to my hatred of the Chinese Internet than just a few blocked websites,
though. Foreign websites that aren’t blocked load incredibly slow. Speaking of slow, get used to the
turtle’s pace of your connection here. The worst aspect of the Internet here to me is without a doubt
the insane amount of energy and resources that the Chinese government pumps into this whole
operation. There are millions of people employed as “Internet police” around the country, spending
their days censoring WeChat posts and blocking sensitive content.
Laying flat
Let it rot
Quit culture
Young generation?
People stop working in China, tap out of any social life – sometimes for good.
By lying flat, young people are participating in a kind of non-cooperation movement, rather
than surrendering themselves to China's oppressive work culture where they see little hope of
social mobility.
Now a-days young people are going to temples, following religious practices to escape from
life pressure also known as hustle culture
People are getting successful through connections and quanxi which leads younger
generations refuse to put efforts in life, and they have become hopeless
Physical CONTACT plays a
large role in culture
Chinese culture is very formal and indirection , To protect one's
reputation, Chinese people might avoid direct communication, as it
could lead to uncomfortable interpersonal interactions.
It is common for people to point with their index finger. This is not
considered rude.
they do not touch people but give a bow when greeting someone.
In this culture they don’t usually show affection publicly.
Hugging, shaking hands, whistling is considered as disrespectful in there

Key to success is
punctuality in china
Success means
wealth, power and position to Chinese people
.
Time perception
Focus on results

Laziness is crime
Success isn'tleft to chance
Misconceptions
Very common misconceptionabout chinese are that they eat Dogs, rats,
noodles and insects all the time
Chinese people are brainwashed
Although many Chinese are indeed proud of their country's
achievements, certainly not all of them blindly agree with the ruling
Party's politics.

BUSINESS COMMUNICATION IN CHINA
Understanding Chinese business culture and etiquette is the next core step on the path to
building lasting business relationships. Chinese business customs are different from those in
the West.
opt for a gentle handshake
When greeting, a handshake is a good way to show your respect. Different from Western-
style handshake with a firm grip, Chinese people prefer a gentler handshake.
Learn basic Chinese.Even just a few simple words will improve your communication and
business negotiation in China. It's also guaranteed to leave a good impression on your
business partners.
Don't point Its considered rude to point with your finger—instead, point with an open hand.
Remember that eye contact in China is the best way get someone’s attention without using
your hands at all.
