Jennifer Jaramillo Delgado became passionate about teaching after returning from her first big trip to the USA where she spent over a year. Her first teaching experience was volunteering with an NGO in Colombia where she fell in love with teaching. She then studied to earn her bachelor's degree in English teaching. Since then, she has worked at various language institutes and schools, gaining experience that has made her more passionate about her work each day. She created a blog both as a university task but also to share her passions of teaching, traveling experiences, and insights from her practicum working with 8th graders. The blog focuses on Colombia, Germany, and the USA to showcase the cultures of countries she has visited

WHY TEACHING?

3. Teaching bacame into my passion when I
had just came back from my first big
traveling experince, USA. A place, where i
spent more than a year. When i came back
to my beautiful Colombia, I was lost but
suddenly i decided to be a volunteer in an
NGO. There, i fell in love with teaching and
this amazing journey started.

experiences

5. My first teaching experience was in NGO.
Where i felt in love with teaching.
Then, i proceeded to study a bachelor degree
in English teaching. After, my 3 semester, i started
working at a language institude, there i worked for
a year. After that experince teaching, i started
working at another
language institude, where currently, i am working. I
love it there! At the same time , i am doing my
practicum at a schoo. Thre i reconfirmed that i love
thisl.
All these experinces have made me grown and feel
more passionate each day about what i do!

7. A task from univerity that
turned into not just being a
task but something that
gathered my passions (teaching
and studying), lived moments
(traveling) and teaching
experiences (practicum).

graders?

9. Because at my practicum place,
8 graders touched my heart.
They made me remember such
beautiful moments when i was
that age. And also they gave
me joy and encouraged me to
do something for them.

10. why a blog about colombia,
germany and usa?

11. Because among the few countries i have
visited, those really made feel in love and
live amazing experiences. Countries where i
really got to know the culture. The
contrast among these countries is great.
That is why i want students to know more
about them. I want them to know how
different they are, and at the same time, i
am remembering great times i had there,
and of course they are learning English.

12. what does "if you want, you
will" mean?

13. I have traveled but that doesn't mean i
am reach or i have money. But i do have a
strong believe. That is, if you want, you
will have it. As long you have the best
energies for it, fight for your dreams and
turn them into actions.
Just imagine, feel happy imagining, start
planning, fight for what you want and you
for sure will get anything you want!
Positive thinking is stronger than
anything else!
