Coun 533 ethical self reflection part 1MorganPalser
This document highlights what I find to be the most important qualities in a professional counselor. I describe what it is that a counselor should do professionally, so they are more effective in their overall practice.
For this assignment, I interviewed a friend of mine who grew up in a family who does not speak English as their first language. Her parents are both immigrants from Mexico, and I was able to learn about the ways that her background is different from mine.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

1. Certificate:
Memories of my Beginning
Two years ago I decided to go to academic school which
only foreigners go for improving my English skills and
learn something about other cultures, and giving me a
place where I could talk to one another. First time when I
faced new country, new culture, and new people from
various countries, I was kind of panic. I didn't speak
English well and didn't hear well too; so, I felt awkward
and overwhelmed by everything. However, I managed my
feelings and thoughts quickly, and I thought, that my
English was weak and not fluent was so natural because I
just came here and I am a foreigner here who wants to
learn and improve English skills. Then, my attitude
toward everything changed to positive and the nicest way.
I didn't feel scared of anything and I tried to challenge
every moment. I played around with new foreign friends,
talked a lot with teachers, attended extraordinary classes
such as free talking, a music club, skating in Winter,
baking and discussion about hot topics. I became familiar
with different cultures and close to many interesting
people faster than the others who were in same situation
like me. When I graduated from the academy I got this
certificate as a result. Now I know the best way that I
build myself is my confidence and real act. And if I try to
do my best, the result will follow me itself and it will be
so sweet and awesome so always amazes me.
2. Seminar for personality:
A Moment of Looking Back
Myself
Last Summer I attended a seminar and lecture in the
analysis of character at the Church. First of all, I took
four tests about my personality and figured out who I
am. And then, The lecturer explained character types and
checked the attendants' results. When she started to read
my result, I was kind of nervous, curious and also
looking forward to listen to what is my character type
because I'd felt my personality had been changing while
living abroad alone and away from my family and
friends. She said, according to the test, my type is ENEP
which indicates Extravert, iNtuitive, Feeler, and
Perceiver considered as an Idealist Champion. She said
also my type is rather rare and represents three or four
percent of the population. I was confused whether it was
good or not. So, I listened to her explanation, read the
meanings carefully and matched with my behaviours in
real life, then checked my positive, good points and
negative, bad points too. I organized my great strengths
with my short experience not to forget those and in order
to build my confidence using those strengths. Also, I
made a list for my weak points to change to my strong
points. It was a good decision to attend the lecture
because the experience gave me a chance to judge my
character objectively and do self-examine myself. Now,
every new year I make my list a moment of reflection on
the good things I did over the past year and want to
continue to do with my analysis of character through the
lecture.
3. Achievement:
my Efforts Paying Off
I'd never been abroad before I live in Toronto. So,
when I came here, I suffered from my lack of English
skills. I started to go to academic course and wanted
to take the highest level courses because I thought if I
overcame the highest one, my English would be
improved that much. However, I couldn't get in there
due to my entrance test score. I studied really hard
and tried to use English only. I communicated with
the teachers and new foreign friends went out with
them. I didn't be lazy about study at all. Eventually, I
skipped a grade and entered two of the highest
classes that I wanted. In the course, I struggled for
overcoming the level again. I tried to talk a lot with
teachers and attend every class actively. I reviewed
every day and used what I learned. At the end, I got
the Achievement that is given to one of the best
students at graduation. It was so a proud moment that
my efforts were paying off. Moreover, I still keep in
touch with the teachers as a friend and meet them.
Through this experience, I not only improved my
English skills, but also became to have valuable
moments and even friends.
4. Successful Presentation:
Built my Confidence!
This year I am taking a really interesting class on Modern
Approach; Customer Service. Our professor assigned all of
us to research two same industries and present the
comparing reports for 25 minutes. Our group was 7
members including me and it was my first time to present
with that many of members and that long time. We decided
to compare two coffee brands about their histories, goals,
philosophies, customer services, and profits. And I got
philosophy part because I didn't know what philosophy
means and indicates in Business and I wanted to know that
by this opportunity. I started to search what the word means
and when we use for business. I read lots of articles about
the two coffee brands and figured out what their
philosophies are. I took some hard knocks when
understanding; however, I prepared my own speech about
philosophy for the presentation. Every time I brought my
small note of speech and tried to memorize because I really
wanted to make a our presentation successful. I asked my
group members for advice and also gave them advice.
Finally, in the presentation, I spoke my part with confidence
and without any mistakes because I was prepared to
present. Because I had been feeling shy so easily in front of
people, I felt so proud of myself and got more confidence
about making a speech in public after the presentation.
5. Volunteer:
What is Happiness
Last Summer I found one church which needed
volunteers as a multi-media supporter, Korean
teachers for children who are Korean but can't speak
Korean well, and helpers for international students
who need help for English. I applied a multi-media
assistant and helper for international students. As a
multi-media assistant, I utilize PC software
administrative duties and solve expected or
unexpected problems with media programing
during sessions and reduce the mistakes and errors
of showing visuals and helped people focus on the
lecture and get the points clearly. And as a helper
for international students, I meet them at least once
a week and hang around with them. When they need
some advices, I give counsel with them and when
they want to get help about English study, I study
with them together. These works make me more
sociable person, develop my knowledge and skills
about computer and other specific media machines
and communication skills. The greatest feeling that
I got is I am a person who is needed. This volunteer
work makes me truly realize that "Happiness comes
of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to
think freely, to risk life, to be needed." (Storm
Jameson)
