This document discusses why libraries should connect their data and resources to the web. It argues that libraries should use Schema.org to describe and link their resources, while also applying other standards, so their users and data are discoverable beyond just their own systems. However, Schema.org alone is not enough for full library data exchange or sharing with the world, requiring additional vocabularies and standards. Connecting library data can benefit not only libraries but also many other sectors.
