Why I Want To Pursue A Graduate Degree
My goals is my number one priority. Being a senior, so many things come to your mind and what you would like to do in life. I promised myself that
I will accomplish every one of my goals and my mind set is highly dedicated to do it. My future plans are attending Alabama A&M to get my
Bachelor degree and I'm considering getting an even higher education to get my Graduate Degree. Things in life are not cheap anymore, so I will
work hard in life to get what I want. I will graduate with my Graduate Degree, and pursue my dream in being a psychiatrist. If I do not pursue my
dream in being a psychiatrist, my second choice is to be a judge. Of course you would have to be a lawyer first, but that is my second choice. My
third choice is to be a women doctor. It's so many occupations that you can make great money in so I will look into more details of my top three
choices and see which one make a maximum pay....show more content...
I'd rather sit at a desk, telling my employees what to do. Having a high education can get you very far in life. A higher pay, you'll have a wider range
of options open for jobs, and the number one thing is that you can be your own boss. Graduating from high school, isn't where it ends. Going to college
is a big step, but you have to work hard if you want fine things. Having a higher education can make you proud of yourself because at the end, you can
look at your degree, and say, "I did it" with a proud smile on your face. College may be hard but I know at the end, I'll be a great

T.S. Eliot once wrote, "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from."
Every landmark in our lives will end but there is always a beginning to an end. As each new path ends a new one begins. Graduation marks the end of
a path but as it ends a new path begins.
Life is an adventure. We started out by walking on a winding path as we entered the destination of kindergarten. As our lives ventured on down the
winding path, we met new friends and new life experiences along the way. As the path widens, we see ourselves on a countryroad. We started
elementary school and we constantly gained new knowledge to help us progress in our journey. As we continued along in our...show more content...
As the paved path merged, we found ourselves no longer walking, but driving in cars on the highway in high school. Life started to get more
challenging and things started to move at a faster pace. In this part of our lives we got to choose which way we wanted to go, left or right. We
found hardships up the steep hills and we might have stopped at many intersections. However, we always proceeded with the flow of traffic no
matter what obstacle gets in our way, we always managed to get through it. As our lives traveled on the highway, we saw others take different
roads along our journey, but we always found ourselves choosing to keep with our commitment of continuing. We all had to make pit stops along
the way through homework and projects, but it fueled us to get stronger and helped us gain knowledge to make it up those steep hills and
intersections. Finally, when graduation comes, the highway ends and merges to a new beginning as we leave our memories in the past in our
rearview mirror. Miles and miles of opportunities await us. However, each one of us has a different goal or route in life, and each of us will find
different exits along the way to fulfill our dream. Some of us will take the express lanes and continue our education through college. Some of us might
follow the freeway not knowing where fate will take us. Life isn't always easy on the freeway. Some of us might get stuck in traffic jams. Some

My Graduation Essay
Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude that was there to witness my every word, every
tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not
bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift.
With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled "Class of 2009". I had just graduated. "Ok seniors, everyone settle down and take your seat with your
name on it". The principle conducted everyone as we prepared to get ready for our practice graduation walk. Amusement and volume suffocated the
gym as...show more content...
I could sense the stares glaring upon me as I switched positions every second in my chair. Two hours wasted out of my life before the orator called
my name. With a shamble walk, insensible arms, and a tilted head I deliberated myself across the front of the gym and out the door. One of my
classmates ran out the door and past me with glee assuring me that she would see me on Monday, the day of our graduation. Saturday and Sunday
went by fast. Vowing that God had cut off at least twelve hours off my weekend, Monday morning arrived. I had to be at the coliseum at nine a.m.
I woke up at eight thirty on the dot. With no essential worries and not a care in the world what I looked like, I merely jumped out of bed and put
my graduation dress, cap, and gown on. In six minutes flat I was ready to go. I made it out my room and past the mirror wall right before I was
about to leave. Looking at myself I knew I looked unacceptable, but my mind could not lead me to care. Right before I could make it out the door my
mom vented her words of refutation. "Where do you think you are going? You did not bother to brush your hair, wash your face nor take ashower."
Thinking quickly, I managed to use time as my excuse and scampered out the door to avoid any more questions. When I arrived at the coliseum, I was
quite confused considering I did not listening to anything the principal had stated at practice graduation

Graduation Speech Essay
Well, this is it, the day all of us have been waiting for has finally arrived. It seems like only yesterday we were picking our noses and flicking them at
innocent bystanders or yelling childish phrases like, "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" or, wait, that was yesterday. Never mind. Anyways.
What I'm trying to say is the years, have flown by and it's not going to be long before we're in the stands watching our kids graduate.
You know, there is a lot more to graduating than leaving Rufus and getting a diploma. It's more than that. I mean, why do you think we get to wear
these cool robes?
Our infantile days of wandering into first period half asleep and living off the school's cheesy burritos and ranch dressing are over, it's time now...show

We are knocking on the door of total independence, something we have never fully understood. We have just barely begun the trip on the roller coaster
of life and already it seems like we've had quite a ride. Some of us will go on to college, some will enter into the work force, and most of us are still
undecided. But whichever path we take, it won't be easy and believe me, a year or two from now you're gonna wish you were back at good old LHS
because the term "9 to 5" is going to take on a whole new meaning, and I'll tell you right now it ain't gonna be pretty folks.
Our graduation is our coming of age, our right of passage. As we walk across this stage we are writing the closing pages to our Chapter I and heading
into the great unknown. It's kinda scary –– but hey, don't you cry, even thoughhigh school is over, the times we've shared and the friends we've made
will never be lost. The clock is ticking, time is fleeting and nobody lives forever. But true friendship is something we can count on never dying. I
hope wherever we go in life it will be happy and even if we all move to remote island countries we can all count on the memories and laugh at all the
stupid things we did.
So to the class of 06', I'd like to say thanks for the memories and good luck. You're gonna need it.
Now on behalf of all of us graduating seniors, I'd like to thank all of the parents for all of the

Ben enters his room and is at ease finally. The music stops and the focus is on him. The room is well lit and his head is leaned against the white
door, which gives the audience a sense of escape. As he makes his way toward the window, we see a dartboard next to his bedroom door that has
not one of the darts on the correct target. One has even found itself on the wall. Over his bed we see pictures of planes and toy planes pointed in
every direction as maybe parallel to his life. The camera holds a medium close–up as Ben looks down through his window after he takes a hesitant
walk over to that position.

As he looks into the fish tank we see multi–colored fishes, corals and other decorations that occupy the water. At he end of the shot Ben's door is
opened and we see Mrs. Robinson in the doorway.
Interpretation:
The fishes in the fish tank display color, movement and ultimately freedom. Ben looks on as if he is craves to have this too in his own life. The
lighting becomes immense and he is therefore hopeful.
Overall Meaning:
Ben escapes the swarm of family and friends. He feels very overwhelmed and confined downstairs. His bedroom serves as his time and place for
isolation. This shows that the parents are not really concerned about his feelings or opinions. Ben does not share the same opinions about his future as
his parents have in mind. He is basically showcased as a scholar than a regular human being with a desire for acceptance.
Opening Shots: The Graduate
After Title Sequence
Shot 1–Interpretation
As Ben sits in front of the fish tank he seems to be thinking very deeply. The tank represents a sort of tranquility and peacefulness for Ben. The father's
voice is more dominating than Ben's silent cry.
"Hey, what's the matter?" was the first line in the film
This dialogue represents the father and mother asking questions as a form of human behavior but not really as a sign of individual concern. They

Reflections on a Graduate Program
Reflections Upon a Graduate Program Upon completing a stage in life, such as the completion of a graduate program, it is productive to reflect
upon that experience and ponder the motivation for that course of action, as well as ponder the utility of that experience. As my graduate program
comes to a conclusion, now is the time for me to discuss the components of the program that have been of particular value to me, and why such
program components have been of value. I appreciated learning about different teaching methodologies and perspectives regarding education. I
found that learning about constructivism and objectivism quite valuable. I always knew that there were philosophical concepts that supported
specific teaching methods, but I only had a superficial understanding of such ideas. Learning in greater detail about such topics helped me
understand my own educational experience in a new dimension. It also helped me consider the value of a variety of perspectives to be used in the

I also found value in these topics because it helped me discern what kind of teaching practice I naturally gravitate towards, as well as help expose my
weakness in teaching methodology. Overall, I think it helped me understand how to be a balanced teaching professional, and ways to achieve or strive
for that balance. There was great value to

Why I Want To Pursue A Graduate Degree

  • 1. Why I Want To Pursue A Graduate Degree My goals is my number one priority. Being a senior, so many things come to your mind and what you would like to do in life. I promised myself that I will accomplish every one of my goals and my mind set is highly dedicated to do it. My future plans are attending Alabama A&M to get my Bachelor degree and I'm considering getting an even higher education to get my Graduate Degree. Things in life are not cheap anymore, so I will work hard in life to get what I want. I will graduate with my Graduate Degree, and pursue my dream in being a psychiatrist. If I do not pursue my dream in being a psychiatrist, my second choice is to be a judge. Of course you would have to be a lawyer first, but that is my second choice. My third choice is to be a women doctor. It's so many occupations that you can make great money in so I will look into more details of my top three choices and see which one make a maximum pay....show more content... I'd rather sit at a desk, telling my employees what to do. Having a high education can get you very far in life. A higher pay, you'll have a wider range of options open for jobs, and the number one thing is that you can be your own boss. Graduating from high school, isn't where it ends. Going to college is a big step, but you have to work hard if you want fine things. Having a higher education can make you proud of yourself because at the end, you can look at your degree, and say, "I did it" with a proud smile on your face. College may be hard but I know at the end, I'll be a great Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Graduation Speech Essay example T.S. Eliot once wrote, "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from." Every landmark in our lives will end but there is always a beginning to an end. As each new path ends a new one begins. Graduation marks the end of a path but as it ends a new path begins. Life is an adventure. We started out by walking on a winding path as we entered the destination of kindergarten. As our lives ventured on down the winding path, we met new friends and new life experiences along the way. As the path widens, we see ourselves on a countryroad. We started elementary school and we constantly gained new knowledge to help us progress in our journey. As we continued along in our...show more content... As the paved path merged, we found ourselves no longer walking, but driving in cars on the highway in high school. Life started to get more challenging and things started to move at a faster pace. In this part of our lives we got to choose which way we wanted to go, left or right. We found hardships up the steep hills and we might have stopped at many intersections. However, we always proceeded with the flow of traffic no matter what obstacle gets in our way, we always managed to get through it. As our lives traveled on the highway, we saw others take different roads along our journey, but we always found ourselves choosing to keep with our commitment of continuing. We all had to make pit stops along the way through homework and projects, but it fueled us to get stronger and helped us gain knowledge to make it up those steep hills and intersections. Finally, when graduation comes, the highway ends and merges to a new beginning as we leave our memories in the past in our rearview mirror. Miles and miles of opportunities await us. However, each one of us has a different goal or route in life, and each of us will find different exits along the way to fulfill our dream. Some of us will take the express lanes and continue our education through college. Some of us might follow the freeway not knowing where fate will take us. Life isn't always easy on the freeway. Some of us might get stuck in traffic jams. Some Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Graduation Essay Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude that was there to witness my every word, every tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift. With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled "Class of 2009". I had just graduated. "Ok seniors, everyone settle down and take your seat with your name on it". The principle conducted everyone as we prepared to get ready for our practice graduation walk. Amusement and volume suffocated the gym as...show more content... I could sense the stares glaring upon me as I switched positions every second in my chair. Two hours wasted out of my life before the orator called my name. With a shamble walk, insensible arms, and a tilted head I deliberated myself across the front of the gym and out the door. One of my classmates ran out the door and past me with glee assuring me that she would see me on Monday, the day of our graduation. Saturday and Sunday went by fast. Vowing that God had cut off at least twelve hours off my weekend, Monday morning arrived. I had to be at the coliseum at nine a.m. I woke up at eight thirty on the dot. With no essential worries and not a care in the world what I looked like, I merely jumped out of bed and put my graduation dress, cap, and gown on. In six minutes flat I was ready to go. I made it out my room and past the mirror wall right before I was about to leave. Looking at myself I knew I looked unacceptable, but my mind could not lead me to care. Right before I could make it out the door my mom vented her words of refutation. "Where do you think you are going? You did not bother to brush your hair, wash your face nor take ashower." Thinking quickly, I managed to use time as my excuse and scampered out the door to avoid any more questions. When I arrived at the coliseum, I was quite confused considering I did not listening to anything the principal had stated at practice graduation Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Graduation Speech Essay Well, this is it, the day all of us have been waiting for has finally arrived. It seems like only yesterday we were picking our noses and flicking them at innocent bystanders or yelling childish phrases like, "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" or, wait, that was yesterday. Never mind. Anyways. What I'm trying to say is the years, have flown by and it's not going to be long before we're in the stands watching our kids graduate. You know, there is a lot more to graduating than leaving Rufus and getting a diploma. It's more than that. I mean, why do you think we get to wear these cool robes? Our infantile days of wandering into first period half asleep and living off the school's cheesy burritos and ranch dressing are over, it's time now...show more content... We are knocking on the door of total independence, something we have never fully understood. We have just barely begun the trip on the roller coaster of life and already it seems like we've had quite a ride. Some of us will go on to college, some will enter into the work force, and most of us are still undecided. But whichever path we take, it won't be easy and believe me, a year or two from now you're gonna wish you were back at good old LHS because the term "9 to 5" is going to take on a whole new meaning, and I'll tell you right now it ain't gonna be pretty folks. Our graduation is our coming of age, our right of passage. As we walk across this stage we are writing the closing pages to our Chapter I and heading into the great unknown. It's kinda scary –– but hey, don't you cry, even thoughhigh school is over, the times we've shared and the friends we've made will never be lost. The clock is ticking, time is fleeting and nobody lives forever. But true friendship is something we can count on never dying. I hope wherever we go in life it will be happy and even if we all move to remote island countries we can all count on the memories and laugh at all the stupid things we did. So to the class of 06', I'd like to say thanks for the memories and good luck. You're gonna need it. Now on behalf of all of us graduating seniors, I'd like to thank all of the parents for all of the

The room is well lit and his head is leaned against the white door, which gives the audience a sense of escape. As he makes his way toward the window, we see a dartboard next to his bedroom door that has not one of the darts on the correct target. One has even found itself on the wall. Over his bed we see pictures of planes and toy planes pointed in every direction as maybe parallel to his life. As he looks into the fish tank we see multi–colored fishes, corals and other decorations that occupy the water. At he end of the shot Ben's door is opened and we see Mrs. Robinson in the doorway. Interpretation: The fishes in the fish tank display color, movement and ultimately freedom. Ben looks on as if he is craves to have this too in his own life. The lighting becomes immense and he is therefore hopeful. Overall Meaning: Ben escapes the swarm of family and friends. He feels very overwhelmed and confined downstairs. His bedroom serves as his time and place for isolation. This shows that the parents are not really concerned about his feelings or opinions. Ben does not share the same opinions about his future as his parents have in mind. He is basically showcased as a scholar than a regular human being with a desire for acceptance. The father's voice is more dominating than Ben's silent cry. "Hey, what's the matter?" was the first line in the film This dialogue represents the father and mother asking questions as a form of human behavior but not really as a sign of individual concern. I was very happy to be at this point in my life, but I was scared deep down inside. When I look back on this day now, I still remember every detail as if it was yesterday. I was so proud, and happy to be able to celebrate such an amazing day with all of my friends and family. I know I will never forget how embarrassed I was walking across the stage in front of all of those people, feeling famous after taking so many pictures, making our final memories together at our graduation parties, and then being a nervous wreck when it was time to go out into the world without my best friends at my side. High school graduation day was a very emotional day for me, but it was by far the most exciting day I have ever experienced in my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. Reflections on a Graduate Program Reflections Upon a Graduate Program Upon completing a stage in life, such as the completion of a graduate program, it is productive to reflect upon that experience and ponder the motivation for that course of action, as well as ponder the utility of that experience. As my graduate program comes to a conclusion, now is the time for me to discuss the components of the program that have been of particular value to me, and why such program components have been of value. I appreciated learning about different teaching methodologies and perspectives regarding education. I found that learning about constructivism and objectivism quite valuable. I always knew that there were philosophical concepts that supported specific teaching methods, but I only had a superficial understanding of such ideas. Learning in greater detail about such topics helped me understand my own educational experience in a new dimension. It also helped me consider the value of a variety of perspectives to be used in the classroom. Good teaching for me includes of variety of methods that are known, used, and balanced as part of the teaching and learning experiences. I also found value in these topics because it helped me discern what kind of teaching practice I naturally gravitate towards, as well as help expose my weakness in teaching methodology. Overall, I think it helped me understand how to be a balanced teaching professional, and ways to achieve or strive for that balance. There was great value to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Graduate Study Challenges and Strategies for Success In my current role as a nurse educator I feel the desire to pursue my dream of obtaining a master's degree, specializing in nursing education. It has been 27 years since I have sat in the student chair in a classroom; therefore, I anticipate a number of challenges and barriers to overcome. In this paper I will present and describe three challenges that I expect to be faced with over the next two years. I will also discuss the strategies I plan to use to address these challenges. Challenges and Strategies One of the biggest challenges I am confronting is managing and balancing my school with my work, family, and church responsibilities. Although multiple roles create stress in...show more content... English is my second language, and that is why, I tend to think in Spanish and then translate into English. Some research shows that bilingualism may actually help the brain to process language differently, and that late learners may not think like native speakers, but they are still capable of mastery of a new set of language skills (Kovelman, Baker & Petitto, 2008). I have always considered English to be a challenging language for foreigners to learn. However, I hope to find that many of the online resources like CWE, APA format, River point, WritePoint and the library at University of Phoenix will help me to develop and improve these weak areas. I also expect to be able to ask students and nursing co–workers to provide feedback of my work. Additionally, I anticipate that my confidence and abilities with language skills will improve with each written assignment and oral presentation. As my comfort level with my English skills increases I expect to be able achieve the concept explain by Benner in her work describing nurses' proficiency levels from novice to expert (Benner, 1984). Currently I would describe my written English proficiency as a novice beginner. A third challenge I will be facing is time management. One of my most important roles in life is being a mother and a wife. Even though my family is very supportive of my decision to go back to school, I recognize that I must set aside time to share with them. I have set up a weekly calendar helping me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
