Who’s blocking your path MT 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.“ This lesson shows that the Devil tried to block Jesus too but he did not stumble and he did not fall for his tricks.
RO 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. Recognize that you are watched by others, so you should try to set a good example and act accordingly.
1CO 8:9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall.
When God tells you to do something, find a way to do it as if he was standing in front of you. Do not let the way you feel about the one he used affect the way you do the job for God. When given a chance to serve, do the best that you can because it is for God, not man.
Things that block your usefulness to God & others The lack of control of your Tongue The way you conduct yourself around others. How quickly you react to negativity and what pushes your buttons. How you react when angered. .
PR 1:3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; PR 1:4 for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young--
PR 2:9 Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path. PR 2:10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. PR 2:11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
PS 73:24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. PS 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
