White tigers are a rare color variant of the Bengal tiger that have a genetic mutation causing their unusual white coloration. They are found in Southeast Asia and parts of India, but are endangered due to poaching and habitat loss. White tigers have blue eyes, a pink nose, and creamy white fur covered in dark brown stripes. While they are not a separate subspecies, white tigers remain threatened in the wild due to illegal hunting and trafficking of their skins and bones, as well as degradation of their natural habitats.
