THE YOUNG MAN OR MR.
PARKENSTACKER
He claims to be poor and tells that he is a cashier. He
was captivated by the young woman, but he is actually
from a wealthy family.
THE WAITRESS
She is a straight forward and honest character. In the
play, the waitress approaches the young girl and says
she is late for work.
PLOT
The woman is waiting for her
chauffeur-driven car. She
strikes up a conversation with
the young man, who is
unaware of his wealth.

The young woman lied about being
wealthy then leaves after her true
identity being revealed, the young
man followed her because she left her
book but suddenly stopped and told
his chauffeur to bring him into a club.
