“WHEN THE CREATOR MAKES A DEMAND ON
HIS CREATION

Have you ever gone to bed,
dead tired and suddenly
found yourself wide awake?


Or felt an unexplainable
tugging at your heart, for
something you couldn’t
quite put your finger on?


Well My friend…

That is the Creator
making a demand on
HIS Creation!

You see, when the Creator
wants a specific task
performed, HE will always
speak to the one HE created
with the ability to do it.


Kind of like a sculptor
does with a piece of clay.


When a sculptor gets a
lump of clay, he places it
in front of himself. In his
mind, he already has an
image of what he wants
his clay to become.

So, he begins to mold it
and shape it. He moves
it around to make it
more pliable, because he
knows what his clay has
the potential to be.

Likewise, when the Creator
makes a demand on His
Creation, with an image in
His mind, He begins to look
at His creation more
closely.

Suddenly, you begin to feel
a bit off balance…unsure.
You start to get a little
edgy.


Then your conscience starts
talking to you. You find it’s
not so easy to get away with
stuff anymore.


You think you’re going nuts.
You wonder if people are
watching you. You start
feeling a little paranoid.


The whole time you’re
having these wonderful new
sensations, The Creator is
holding you in His firm yet
loving grip.


Which is not that comfortable
a position for you.

He is constantly
looking at you
from all angles.

He knows why you were
created, what you were
created to do, and the
potential he placed within
you to do it!


That potential begins to
show itself in strange ways.
We begin to dream dreams.


We start to wonder
about things like, what
would have happened
if we had only…


Then finally after
playing ping pong in
your mind, and losing
the match by default…


…you finally confess…
”Its just to late for me to
be dreaming now”.


Then your heart breaks
a little more. As you
think on the pain of
your past failures.


Pain you don’t even talk
about, you just kind of
endure it…silently.


Langston Hughes penned a
poem entitled “A Raisin in the
Sun”. It is pretty amazing how
much the words relate to our
generation today.

What Happens To A Dream Deferred?

Does It Dry Up Like A Raisin In The
Sun?
Or Does It Fester Like A Sore, And
Then Run?

Does It Stink Like Rotten Meat?
Or Crust And Sugar Over Like A Syrupy
Sweet?
Does It Sag Like A Heavy Load?
Or Does It Explode?

Now let’s take a moment
and think about what he
is asking the readers &
hearers to consider
concerning their dreams.

Is it possible that unrealized
dreams could explode into
crime, poverty, violence,
suicide, drug abuse or more?


Could the social ills that
plague our nation be
contributed to deferred
dreams that “stink like rotten
meat”?

Consider this, when we loose
our ability to dream, we
seem to loose our vision.


When we loose our vision, it
appears we get bored. And
when we get bored…


…it looks like, we get
into trouble. Ever
noticed that?


I’ll give you an example.
I know this woman, well
not personally, but I’ve
heard her story all my
life.

She had everything in the
world a woman could
want. The love of her
husband. She never had
to compete with other
women for his attention.

She never had to worry
about anyone stealing
her man. She really had
it going on!


But you know what
happened? She got bored,
got involved with a real
snake, lost her vision, and
got into serious trouble.

All inhabitants, both man
and beast are still paying
for that little misstep.
Sometimes losing your
dreams can mean losing
your whole world.

That woman’s name was Eve.


There is another gentleman
we also know quite well. We
have all heard the stories of
his great victories.


How he killed a giant
with a sling shot. How
he would fight for his
people at the drop of a
hat.

Oh he was a fighter. But
one day he wasn’t fighting.
He stayed behind, just
once from fighting.


You know what happened
don’t you. Yeah, you’re right
he got bored. Saw this
woman outside taking a bath
and lost it.

He couldn't see straight
anymore. So you know he
lost his vision, cause he had
to have this lady.
