2. Sample 350 prisoners in 6 high security prisons who received acupuncture and the standard care programme which is called FOCUS, with a control group who did not receive acupuncture but did get the standard care. 15:09

3. Procedure Two trained practitioners worked with groups of 10-15 prisoners in a relaxed setting. Five needles were inserted into 5 acupuncture points in the ear and prisoners relaxed for 40 minutes. They then returned to normal duties. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected. 15:09
