1. What do I charge?
Virtual assistants charge anywhere from $15 to $50/hour. I recommend starting out charging
at least $30/hour.
You may think that this is super high, but it’s not! You have business expenses you need to pay
for, such as your client management system and transaction fees. By law, if you make over
$600, you’re supposed to save 30-40% of your income for taxes. Don’t be afraid to charge what
you’re worth.
If you aren’t comfortable starting off at $30, charge no less than $25/hour.
Remember, you are not an employee! You are an independent contractor and you set your
own rate.
Also, when you’re thinking about what you would like to charge, think of how much you would
like to work.
2. What do I charge?
As a subcontractor, it's okay to take a lower hourly rate. Starting off as a
subcontractor is great because you're able to learn from another business owner.
Subcontractor- when you help another virtual assistant with their business.
Usually, as a subcontractor, you charge a lower rate because you didn't need to
market to land the client and you're not managing the client.
