Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a modern hair restoration technique where individual follicular units are extracted and transplanted with minimal damage. The FUE process involves 3 phases: 1) regenerative cells from blood are infused into donor sites to promote healing and hair growth, 2) follicular units are soaked in a growth factor-rich solution to reduce cell death and increase transplant success, and 3) enriched cells are injected into transplant areas to speed healing and hair growth of transplanted and existing hair for improved density. FUE hair transplants cause less root damage, are painless with no incision marks, and produce secure, affordable, and effective results.
