DataPro Russ Carrier December 18, 2006 Next Level Training Proposal
DataPro, Next Level Training is a (proposed) program developed to better prepare Sprint Authorized Representatives to sell the wireless data offerings in our portfolio. The concept is to recruit a select group of sales representatives primarily from the Exclusive AR’s and exceptional reps only from Plus One’s and Multi-Carriers. Training sessions, lasting 3-hours, will be scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00AM, allowing the AR’s and vendors to plan months in advance.
The initial session in January should be longer than the typical 3-hours, 4-6 hours total, and explore the basis for the specific solutions, the Sprint Data Packages. Annual participation from 6-11 vendors will need to be coordinated at the Solutions Consultant level. Each vendor will be expected to send a representative to the market to lead the 3-hour training, and as schedules permit either make customer visits or train in a nearby market.
The Solution Consultants will work with IAE’s and ISM’s to roll the program out to Principals, getting buy-in for the increases in DAR commissions and general benefit of data sales leading to increase in multi-line deals. The Solution Consultant should facilitate each session by: Scheduling the presenter Reserving the facility Introducing the presenter The SC should take advantage of the interest generated and focus his local market visits in support of that month’s presenter where possible. The SC should maintain a dialog with AR principals to ensure that the schedule, presenters, and content coincide with their sales goals. Each SC must agree that the program is in place to serve the needs of the principals and communicate that to each regularly. Solutions Consultants
Vendor-funded contests would be an excellent tie-in. DataPro participants will expect hands-on, live presentations in the monthly sessions. Attending the trainings will become an exciting event for participants, and vendors will begin jockeying for dates on the calendar. Vendors will be encouraged to enhance their visits with apparel and premiums.
