2. God Has Put Things Together
•And God has told us the proper order
and arrangements that NEED TO
EXIST IN OUR LIVES TODAY.
•In Marriage there is only one way
allowed for mankind by God today.
•Husband (man) and Wife (woman).
Genesis 2:18-24; 1:27-28; Matthew 19:3-12
•God hates divorce but allows it for just one
reason. Malachi 2:16; Matthew 19:9
•“Therefore what God has joined together ,
let not man separate.” Mt. 19:6

3. God Has Joined Together…
•Faith and Works
•The faith-obedient works of God’s
commands… James 2:14-26
•The Faith that is working through Love…
Galatians 5:6
•The faith that by the reverential fear of God
works righteousness… Acts 10:34-35
•The above are the kinds of faith and works
by which we can be acceptable to God.
•Not by our own devised works! Rom. 10:1-3
•God does not accept man’s ways…Mt. 15:9

4. God Has Joined Together…
•Obedience and Salvation
•Anything but God’s will is sin… Mt. 7:21-23
•Purify your soul by obeying the truth…
1 Peter 1:22
•Eternal salvation is only for those who obey
Christ’s law… Hebrews 5:8-9
•The principle is if he is your Lord you must
do what he says! Luke 6:46
•If we do not accept his words we will be
condemned in the last day. John 12:48

5. God Has Joined Together…
•Repentance and Baptism
•“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission
(forgiveness) of your sins…” Acts 2:38
•“Repentance and remission of sins” in Jesus
name… Luke 24:47
•“Repent, turn to God and do works meet for
repentance”… Acts 26:20
•“Be baptized, and wash away your sins,
calling on the name of the Lord”… Acts 22:16

6. God Has Joined Together…
•Profession and Practice
•(ERV) “Be careful in your life and in
your teaching. Continue to live and teach
rightly. Then you will save yourself and
those who listen to your teaching”.
1 Timothy 4:16
•We must do what we profess to do or
become a blasphemer! Romans 2:21-29
•We must not only speak what Christ
says to do, but do it too! James 2:12

7. God Has Joined Together…
•Faithfulness and Eternal Life
•Can’t continue in sin and have eternal
life! Romans 6:1-2, 12, 16; John 8:34
•“be thou faithful unto death, and I will give
thee a crown of life”. Rev. 2:10
•“I have fought a good fight, I have finished
my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also
that love his appearing”. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

8. Don’t Separate What God
Has Joined Together!
•We have revealed to us what God has
joined together in the Bible and we need to
keep it that way. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
•If we do not obey God, we are setting
ourselves up for eternal punishment.

•Hear & Believe the gospel… Rom. 1:16-17
•Repent of sin… Acts 3:19
•Confess Christ… Acts 8:37
•Be Baptized… Mark 16:16
