3. 1. Theotokos: Mary is the Mother of God.
2. Perpetual Virginity: Mary was a virgin before, during, and
after the birth of Jesus.
3. Immaculate Conception: Mary was conceived without
original sin.
4. Assumption: Mary was taken body and soul into heaven.
5. Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate: Mary plays a
unique role in redemption.
4. 1. Theotokos: Mary is the Mother of God. False
First off let me clarify that Catholics believe that Mary is
literally God. No this is not so, God created Mary just like
you and me, a human being.
Mary is Jesus’s earthly mother only.
Mary was the vessel that God the Father selected
She conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast
found favour with God.
Luke 1:30
5. Continued….
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire,
and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the
queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other
gods, that they may provoke me to anger
Jeremiah 7:18
6. 2. Perpetual Virginity: Mary was a virgin before, during, and
after the birth of Jesus. False
Mary was not a perpetual virgin
This verse clears it up
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's
brother.
Galatians 1:19
7. 3. Immaculate Conception: Mary was conceived without
original sin. False
In the scriptures, there is two verses that indicated Mary
was a sinner and that she needed a saviour.
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Luke 1:47
And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the
law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
Luke 2:24
Supporting verse
And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or
for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a
burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin
offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, unto the priest:
Leviticus 12:6
8. 4. Assumption: Mary was taken body and soul into
heaven. False
Mary’s Assumption is not found anywhere in the Word of
God
This was made up by man
The Catholic Church teaches as dogma that the Virgin Mary
"having completed the course of her earthly life, was
assumed body and soul into heavenly glory". This doctrine
was dogmatically defined by Pope Pius XII on 1 November
1950, in the apostolic constitution Munificentissimus Deus
by exercising papal infallibility.
9. 5. Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate: Mary plays a
unique role in redemption. False
Mary is not a Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix, or Advocate
Why? because the Bible is very clear
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and
men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved.
Acts 4:12
10. Continued….
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that
by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified,
whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man
stand here before you whole.
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved.
Acts 4:10-12
11. Continued….
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him
a name which is above every name:
Philippians 2:9
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 1:18
12. The validity of Catholic beliefs regarding Mary
score 0 out of 5 according to the Bible

kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and
every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Matthew 12:25
14. Do not pray to or put your focus on
Mary a pope or a church
Your focus needs to be on
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
alone
15. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of
her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that
ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:4
16. Repent, and turn to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
alone!
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
