I’m a teacher aide devoted to helping children think creatively, solve problems
independently, and respect themselves and others. I desire a role as a teacher aide.
During the majority of my work history I have worked with special needs children
from birth to five years of age. Most of these being with Down Syndrome, Behavior
Issues, and Autism. I also am a parent of a child with Asperger’s Syndrome.
Between 2003-2012 I was a caregiver for my father. During this time I had to learn
to do Peritoneal Dialysis, Give him shots, keep records of intake and output, record
and monitor blood sugar and blood pressure, give medication, schedule and take to
appointments, assist with daily living skills, provide healthy meals.
