Mainly college students and instructors are my audience. In addition, this semester I have a tutor, who is also a part of my audience. For this discussion, my audience needs to know there are options for financial aid available or should be available for both traditional and nontraditional students. My audience favors scholarships and grants, over subsidized and unsubsidized loans from the federal government. This set of critical readers definitely value reliable, solid content with reputable sources over the author s opinion concerning grant reform. The most important aspect to my audience would be the decisions on what to include in the final draft for this classical argument. The organization of the ideas is essential to best support

Mental Health Personal Statement Essay
I have worked incredibly hard to obtain skills from various organisations to better understand mental health. I decided I needed to acquire additional work experience to give my application some weight. I am tenacious by nature and therefore despite being somewhat academically inferior to my rivals, I make up for in passion, determination and professionalism. I can assure you my grade does not define my ability to work with vulnerable people, families and colleagues and I would really like the opportunity to demonstrate this at interview. I am keen to explore the depths of applying psychology to health and the behaviour change processes involved with working with young people in particular.
I would describe myself as ambitious, respectful and hungry to learn. I have learnt is that I am passionate about working with vulnerable people. Mental health is an area that I feel lacks funding and services for young people. Given the level of contributing factors to mental health in society today I feel I can offer a non judgmental, empathetic and person centred approach to treatment and intervention for this age group. Wilfred Owen Exposure Essay
Exposure talks about the experience during the world war, and gives the soldiers a point of view on the front line, based on Wilfred Owens experience and time at war during 1917. In exposure Owen talks about the suffering and deaths at war.The soldiers appear trapped in a No Man s Land between life and death, and the poem s movement is circular. When it ends, they are exactly where they were in the first stanza. it gives the message of the soldiers being at the cold and icy conditions,it tells us about the wether conditions during the first world war. it shows us that most of the soldiers where not killed by there enemies some of them froze to death by the cold and wet wether, the poem shows all the young men and tells them not to join the war as it is nothing heroic. My Memories Of High School
Packet Questions #16
My memories or junior high are _______ because__________.
My memories of junior high are made up mostly of me being shy to the point where no one could hear me when I talked, and me walking around with a black sweater, with my hand covering my mouth which made people hear me even less. Other memories of junior high consist of me skipping down the hall with my friend Isabelle at the end of the school year, and being introduced to my best friend. These are the memories that I mostly remember, because they both are some of the points where my life had changed. When I had skipped down the hall with my friend Isabelle, it was the last day of school for eighth grade. I figured that since I most likely won t see all of these kids when I go to high school, I am able to get out of my comfort zone, and be myself for once in school. I remember the day Isabelle and I had done that, I was very skeptical, but I eventually started having fun once I started skipping, and it was the first time I had gotten a little less shy than usual, and it has since helped me to work on being less shy and get out of my comfort zone. When I was in seventh grade, my cousin had wanted to go to her friends house that was right by mine. When I was first introduced to her friend Angel, I didn t really like her, mainly because I didn t know her too much, yet did I know she was going to turn out to be my best friend. When I started hanging out with Angel more, we found out that we were both in a depressed state, and I think we ve helped each other with that. Also, she was the first person that I could finally be my crazy self with, going to the store with face masks on, or d

Defences to Defamation
DEFENCES TO DEFAMATION: FAIR REPORT, CONSENT, APOLOGY
* WHAT IS DEFAMATION?
Defamation is a false accusation of an offense or a malicious misrepresentation of someone s words or actions. A man s reputation is his property, more valuable than any other property. The existing law for defamation is a reasonable restriction on the fundamental right of speech and expression conferred by article 19(1) (a) of the Indian Constitution and is saved by cl (2) of art 19. The wrong of defamation may be either committed by way of writing i.e. Libel or by way of speech i.e. Slander. There may be forms of Defamation that do not fall under Libel or Slander. The court in this case rejected the plea of the plaintiff and stated that the plaintiff had agreed to run the risk of the particular form that the statement might take. In one case a school superintendent was demoted and requested a statement of reasons from the school board. The school board did so in a confidential letter, which included the allegation that the superintendent had taken part in distributing fake election flyers. Apparently the superintendent was not pleased so he submitted the letter to a newspaper and the newspaper published the letter... The court held that plaintiff consented to the publication of the letter. Consent to a defamatory statement relinquishes all rights to claim damages. Essay On Black African History
I chose this class because I wanted to know more about Black/African history. As we all know society seem to lack in that department when it comes to teaching about it. Black humanities sounded like a great class to farther increase my knowledge about African and Black people. I really don t know what my expectation was to be honest. I just tried to go in with an open mind and hope I found something interesting. Also, I hoped that the history was treated with respect. I have experience before when Black/African history was brought up (not often of course) some teachers spoken about the subject with a condescending tones. Anyways, the class was ok. I did feel that the class was taught in a way to not offend the white people in the room. I felt...show more content...I was up and down about the class. Some days I loved the class and some days I hated it. What I got out this class is how vastly talented we are and how rich our history is. You had links for days, and it had all type of perspectives so you we was sure to find something that we could relate to. Malcolm X is still number one in my book. I honestly believe if we followed Malcolm X plan we would be better off. Our problem was not our inability to be around white people but Jim Crow. Jim Crow was installed to deliberately destroy our progress. Malcolm saw that and he was able to separate Jim Crow from Segregation while others seen them as synonyms. What I disliked the most about the class including what I said before was how the power points was too opinionated regardless if I agree with them or not and not fact based. I just wanted to know the information, and I will form my own opinion once I hear

Analysis Of I Just Wanna Be Average
Melinda Gates once said, kids are falling through the cracks and nobody notices it. That to me is what s wrong with the school system. The American school system claims to want every child to thrive, but teachers give up on students they feel are not worthy of their time. In I Just Wanna Be Average by Mike Rose, Rose discusses how his school placed him on a certain path that eliminated his motivation and love for learning. The labels that brand every student make or break their educational careers. Mike Rose s I Just Wanna Be Average depresses me as an alumna of a public school system. My school liked to move past things as quickly as possible. To elaborate, each student would receive a book with every class the high school had to offer, regardless of grade and prerequisites. Then, each student had to return a specific form with all the classes they would take within a week of attaining the book of courses. Knowing which class to take and how it would affect your next four years was a shared mystery to all the incoming freshman. While a flowchart detailing how the mathematics classes lead into each other was provided, all other classes looked as if they would never relate to one another. What the school failed to express to us is that once a student is put into a class, there is no switching out or dropping the class if the class proves too challenging or too easy, the class you take the

DEFENCES TO DEFAMATION: FAIR REPORT, CONSENT, APOLOGY
* WHAT IS DEFAMATION?
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
Â
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesarâs dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empireâs birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empireâs society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasnât one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

where a family lives or their social class everyone will have different meanings and views of health and wellbeing. This may be due to what one
person perceives as being healthy as another person may not. Channel 4 learning (no date) describes that a positive view of health can be seen as

emphasis on health and can be broken down into six aspects know as environmental, physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual. To achieve a

World Health Organization(WHO) defines health as 'a state of complete physical, mental and social wellâbeing and not just the absence of disease or
