2.  Responsible for ensuring day-to-day quality operations of the library: Provides leadership in
developing, advocating, and accomplishing departmental objectives; schedule development;
develop, plan, coordinate, and prioritize workloads (faculty and staff); provide supervision and
guidance to all classified staff; including making decisions and recommendations on hiring,
retention, and dismissal of classified staff; interviews and hires classified staff; prepares and

 Coordinate microcomputer and technology support for library computer commons and instruction
rooms (300+ workstations).
 Responsible for safety and security issues of the library building. Operate and monitor high-tech
security systems. Create and activate security codes and issues codes to designated District staff.

 Maintains all policies and procedures, and records for department.
